In the world today technology is being used to save people. To better the lives of the citizens that live on planet Earth. There are some people who take technology to far such as; Victor Frankenstein the main character in Mary Shelly book. Victor Frankenstein created the unknown to manage he brought the dead back to life as if he was a God. In Mary Shelly point of view she exaggerates how we abuse technology by playing God. In my point of view I see that we are taking advantage of things for example Human Engineering cloning and abortion. People are abusing nature for our benefit. The people of earth can have a symbiotic with nature if technology is used in the right way. Frankenstein written by Mary Shelly is about the life of Victor Frankenstein …show more content…

In my position I believe we do abuse the use of technology. In the book my sister keeper there is a girl named Anna and her sister Kate is dying from cancer. Anna is not an ordinary girl she was engineered by doctors to have the same genes as her sister Kate. The parents did this so Kate would survive so they used Anna as the donor because she had the same genes as her. Anna went through many painful surgeries and I believe that is not right because Anna was created to become the vessel of her sister Kate. Technology is being abused For Example; cloning this in my opinion is taking it too far. Cloning people is wrong in my opinion because the person who is cloned would not be unique. Cloning also is a risk to take because there are defects to the procedure which it is done. There can be someone that can end up with two heads. I believe that cloning is dangerous because if I had a clone and he was kept in the dark. Would the clone kill me off to become me I believe so. Hollywood tries to encourage the use of clones For Example, Star wars and the sixth day. In Star Wars there are Storm Troopers that work for the Galactic Empire as there army and in the sixth day there also used for military purposes. For example use cloning for the whales because they clean the air Humans breathe. Technology can be used to clean pollution in the water. Also clone animals which are almost extinct which can help the species to continue to live. Technology should not be used to bring back the dead like Victor, but it should be helping the living. Technology can actually help the earth if it is used the right way such as; eliminating trash that is produced by humans. The garbage dump for Example technology here helps us keep earth clean because the garbage is burned down into nothing. Also it water bottles they can be recycle and re used so it would not affect the environment of others. Technology can help someone live because it the person is having difficulty breathing they can be put on a breathing tube which will help them
