I created the story of trying to pack for a trip. When a person has to find the things they need, make sure the suitcase fits and just overall feeling ready. I got the idea when I realized my sister and mom are leaving for school trip to New York, because she is a part of the Drill Team. When I started to help them get ready I thought I could do it for my final project. I tried new angles and tried to show the struggle everyone knows goes through when getting ready to leave their home for a trip. I decided to make this a short documentary film. It is a short film but also shows my point of view of packing that is why I chose documentary. The challenge was making sure I had the right angles and shots. Plus, I had to get a vison on what I wanted to portray to my audience. I wanted them to feel the process as if they were there. I wanted them to be a part of it. I first had my sister in the cast but with her being busy with homework and making sure she has stuff for her trip. I show my room and the things trying to go in the suitcase. My room shows bits and pieces of me and who I am. So, this shot shows me packing part of my life into a suitcase going on an adventure. The other would be the over the shoulder. It is me looking back on what I am leaving and being sure that it is what I want to do. Almost like a final goodbye on all that I once knew. It is like me knowing I am sure of my decision to leave, my readiness to go into the world. I liked the Dutch angle it gives my room a more fun crazy feel. It brings more life into the frame. Also liked the eye-level angle. It is how must people see anyway so it is more on the audience level. They would not have to move their head in any crazy directions to see the picture and what it
