The early morning sky was eerie and dark, with a canopy of ominous clouds spreading across the horizon. The sky was a blanket of black that enveloped the earth; depriving the world of sunlight. It was the morning of March 11, and all music students were going to Disneyland for a music workshop with Disney producers. The bus ride towards Anaheim had been gloomy; with clouds shedding full tears that splattered violently against the windows. The sound of the rain and the scenery of the passing road occupied my senses for most of the uneventful ride. The horrible traffic and the weather outside provided an uncomfortable setting. Her feet were next to the pillow that separated us, her head lay on the pillow by the end of the bed, and her hair spread into a fan beneath her head. “What time is it? I’m still tired,” Alexis complained groggily as she momentarily frowned and sat up; running a hand through her hair. Slowly, she crawled out of bed and for the rest of the morning, all five girls focused on getting ready for Disneyland and packing our bags. As the ride to the park progressed, I realized that I had skipped my dose that morning and that the medicine from the day before began wearing off. Slowly, the dull throbbing in my head came back and elevated. While we waited for the orchestra workshop to start, I had the chance to drink my medicine and the went on the same kiddie roller coaster twice with the rest of the orchestra students. During the rides, the effects of the medicine hadn’t kicked in so I experienced severe nauseousness. “How am I gonna go on other rides if I can’t even keep myself together for the kiddie rides?” I asked Karan frustratedly. She laughed at my distraught state and patted my shoulder while failing to comfort me by suggesting, “Take medicine, or you can just not ride the rides.” “How considerate of you,” I frowned and replied
