All Disney tales seem to have a pattern: a girl, a love interest, a battle and a fall.? All of us grew up listening and watching fairy tales , no thanks to the modern inventions and Disney which projected these tales half across the globe due to their larger than life corporation .These so called Disney tales only took the shape of what they are today to appease the society . Fairy tales always have had a special place in our lives . One of the quintessential memories that each child holds onto is of him or her being read some fairy tales . Disney tales are inspired by many other famous authors Grimm brothers being one of them . Sleeping beauty is considered to be one of the main elite Disney princess . The evolution of Sleeping beauty from the original Grimm brother tale and the modern Disney is a not known by many . Sleeping beauty is said to be your stereotypical beautiful princess with her golden flowing hair and clear eyes .In the Disney’s version of sleeping Beauty princess Aurora is cursed to fall in a deep slumber at the touch of a needle or a puncture wound . The princess is cursed to sleep for a hundred years and she continues to do so as her parents grieve her loss at the castle . A prince arrives see’s her sleeping gives her a kiss of true love and rouses her from her cursed sleep . They decide to get married and they live happily ever after . Unlike the easy going Disney version , in the brother Grimm’s version the princess does not fall into a deep slumber due to a curse rather she does so because of a prophecy . The prophecy stated that with a single wound created by a flax slinter she would die , the father of the princess had ordered her to never wear any clothes made out of flax . Out of complete curiosity , the princess touches the needle point and falls asleep . A king from the near by kingdom finds her and tries to wake her up but after no avail he is unable to do so . He is instantly attracted to this princess who is still in deep slumber .
