Discrimination that Lives in Society Today
Every Homosapien’s structure is uniquely made by God starting with our biological features. Due to this, there is discrimination in life today. It is related to ignorance that the world has taught their offsprings. The most common forms of discrimination in society are age, racial, and religious. Age discrimination is usually found in the workplace with the elderly people. Society justifies their actions through the argument that the elderly need to give up their positions for younger people; this type of discrimination is known as ageism. Racial discrimination does not apply to one particular race ,anybody can be the victim of racial discrimination also known as racism. This is a learned behavior that is found everywhere, no matter where you go there will always be some form of this discrimination. Racism is a major problem in the education system starting with the students and parents. No there is no segregation in the school system unless society looks at how the students have kept in their own race. In Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, belongingness is an important step of living life to the fullest. The minority of teens thinks that hanging around their own race will make them have a better chance of belonging. Teenagers will find separation the most in the lunchroom or on the bus where a certain race will mark their territory. The best example of racism is how teenagers are taught or told that they can not date outside their race. There has been a case where a young girl had feelings for a slightly older gentleman. Even though this young man was smart, and sweet he was discriminated against because he was of color and the young girl was not. This case really ironic, because the young girl he fell for father was his father best friend. Her parents confessed to both of them that she could be friends with any black boy, but she was not allowed to date outside of her race for the fact that they …show more content…

It is living in prosperity and will continue unless society starts educating their young. A newborn is not brought into the world with hatred toward people,because of their age, race, or religion, so abolishing discrimination is possible if society steps
