Why do people feel happy, sad, depressed, confused, thankful, or surprised at some point? What is the meaning of emotions? How would life be without emotions? If there are no emotions, life will be meaningless and there will not be a reason to live. Emotions are feelings that people feel about something in life. In addition, there are kinds of emotions and they have an important role in people's lives. According to the book, "Discovering Psychology," "An emotion is a complex psychological state that involves three distinct components: a subjective experience, a physiological response, and a behavioral or expressive response."(1) These are the feelings people get such as love, hate, or anger. When people love or hate someone, they experience emotions. If people feel sad or depressed, these are emotions. They can change their mood by making them feel so excited or angry. Moreover, emotions are something people feel every day, but in different ways. When a person loves someone and trust him, but he lies to him , he will feel bad. They help people to know what they need to do in their lives. Sometimes some people feel stressed and tired, these emotions help them to make a decision to organize their time. Sometimes people make choices based on their feelings of happiness, anger, sadness, or pressure. According to a research, '' when an individual is feeling positive, they tend to make positive decisions, and when they experience negative emotions, they are likely to make negative decisions''. (2) Emotions can affect people's decisions depending on the state of their feelings. For example, when you ask people for something and they are happy, they will give it to you, as opposed to if they are angry.
