If you are think about it how many people are farmers or peasants around you? As you think, at least, it has been decreasing farmers. One of the reason is here. It is because huge organizations as companies can utilize pesticides to agriculture efficiently. However, individually anybody is really difficult to conduct like them. Therefore, many farmers can not win such a agricultural industry competition. I think these reasons are one of logical causes of decreasing farmers. However, Biello fails to address industrial farming’s most dangerous and deadly aspect – pesticides. The effects of pesticides are so dire that it is nearly impossible to suggest that industrial farming is more innocuous and suitable for third world countries.
