In the 1987 drama film Dirty Dancing, Frances “Baby” Houseman a sweetheart, and daddy’s little girl were full of ambitions that her parents dream of her achieving. Her life was full of expectations she had to meet. Until she became infatuated with Johnny Castle, the camp’s dancer instructor who sends her life in a spiral of dance and love. The is similar to the drama film in 2012, Step Up Revolution where as young dancer Emily who’s also a sweetheart, daddy’s little girl who lives up to an ambition in the heart and eyes of her parents. She soon falls head over heels for Sean, leader of The Mob dancing group that sends her life in an unforgettable twist beyond imagine. Dirty Dancing took place in 1963 the 60s and 70s with a dynamic culture of classical music, pop rock, and soft rock music. In the movie the song genres display the old fashion yet charming time of music and people. Frances “Baby” Houseman who vacations in a resort on the beautiful yet settle Catskill Mountain in New York was a new comer into the unique resort. Unlike Step Up Revolution took place in the 2000s with a multicultural of hip-hop, rap, techno, classical, and song mix. Both characters problems interfered in they life, but in a different way based on their life style. In Dirty Dancing, Frances Housman was introduced to Johnny Castle with his good looks and charms, in the resort on a night she heard a party from a distant that caused her to be curious. There she was heart struck by the physical movement that he showed her. This caused her to not only want to learn the aspect and movement of the dance, but to get closer to him. Unluckily, her parents strongly disapprove the dancing behavior she has grown as well as the love she cherished among Johnny because he wasn’t the right man for his daughter and that she did not understand the full intent of her emotions. Unrelated to Step Up Revolution, Emily Anderson was introduced to Sean with his devious yet secret charm, from his exclusive dance solo at one of Miami’s hottest clubs. Her exotic dance moves captured the attention of Sean causing them to perform a couple of moves against one another unaware of who both of them really are. Then on she wanted to be part of Sean compatible dance group The Mob. This significantly not only helped her grow the individuality of her dance capabilities for her audition at the prestigious Winwood Dance Academy, but to gain love for Sean that she can embrace along with her dance career.
