If you could have dinner with a historical figure, who would it be and why? 趙梓妤 Historical figures are people we often see them in our text books. But, if I could have dinner with a historical figure, I would like to take the precious chance with the greatest musician in the world – W.A Mozart, who has been long regarded as “the musical prodigy” because he showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood. Since I have been playing the violin and piano for a long time, music is the most important thing in my life that nourishes my soul. Having played many composers’ works, the most appealing ones to me are composed by Mozart undoubtedly. The central traits of the Classical music are present in Mozart’s music. Clarity, balance, and transparency are the hallmarks of his work, which are the most attractive and amazing part to me. His works has deeply influenced the later generations as well. Mozart’s music has a unique and strong fascination that makes me relax and happy that I can’t dismiss with my mind for a long time. The reason why I would like to have dinner with such a great and wonderful musician Mozart is probably because of our similar characters. I have been to his hometown Salzburg and his former residence, which totally attracted all my attention and made me go deep into his life. His works are clarity, balance, and transparency while my characters are mostly the same as them. I am a rational, coordinating person, and I am not used to putting too much emotion in my music, just as the romantic music does. That may be the reason why his works are like a congenial, chummy friend to me, as if they can really read my mind. So, when we could have a chance to talk face to face, I think the atmosphere of our conversation could be cordial. We could discuss about how the talented musician showed his capability in his large amounts
