Digicams
Buying a technical product, which you don’t know very well about it, could be one of the unwise things that you’ve ever done. I’ve done that kind of stupid thing which was buying my first digital camera. Four years ago, I wanted to replace my film camera with a digital camera so I bought an Argus digital camera which was a bad one. I don’t mean that Argus cameras cannot take nice pictures, but they cannot compete to the other big brand cameras like Canon, Nikon, Konica, Olympus, or Kodak. When I bought the Argus digital camera, I should have spent a little more money to get one of those good cameras than I could afford. I admit that it was my stingy behavior, but another reason I bought that camera was the salesman’s suggestion from the store. As I already admitted that it was my fault, I didn’t blame on him, and I should have noticed that he was not a professional. I should have got sufficient information about the digital camera from some professional in that field before I decided to purchase.
After I got a good lesson with my first digital camera, I carefully looked at the digital camera reviews websites before I bought my second one. There are many review websites for digital camera, and some online stores have their own customer reviews link. Finally, I think I found out some good digital camera review websites which are http://www.steves-digicams.com, http://www.dcresource.com and http://www.cnet.com. As I said before, there are many good digital camera review websites, but I believe those three websites are more up to date and more detail in technical explanations and other related links. Also, I’d like to compare those three sites and explain which one is the best one.
First I’d like to describe about “Steve-digicams” site, which was founded by Steve in early 1997. Steve has over 30 years experience in photography, and his reviews are easy to understand regardless of reader’s computer or photography experience. Steve’s site has reviews on almost every latest model digital camera. There are several contents in Steve’s site. The main contents are “Camera Reviews”, “Printer Reviews”, “Accessory Reviews”, “Buyer’s Guide”, “The Best Cameras”, “Digicam Software” and “Users’ web pages”. Even though there are several links (contents) without any graphic or pictures in Steve’s homepage, it is still very simple and easy to navigate.
In order to read the review for the camera you want, you just have to click on the link “Digital Camera Reviews” and choose the cameras based on models from drop down menu or resolutions from main menu box.
1. Nick Paumgarten, the writer of “We Are a Camera”, brings a few flaws of the GoPro to light. A few of these flaws are in the tedious design, but one major risks of the GoPro are the intent of what it’s commonly used for and the people using the GoPro. In the design of the GoPro Paumgarten explains, “It has no display, so you can’t see what’s in the frame.” (332) This could be annoying because the user may need some experience with the GoPro camera lens to know how broad the vision is on the device.
As technology began to advance over the last decade, even in the last few years, so did the big debate on whether technology is good or bad. Technology, like most things, has its cons, for example, technology can be very expensive, and technology is not always reliable. Another significant issue with technology is that people 's lives seem to revolve around technology. Schools nowadays are incorporating the use of technology in how
Arthur Dimmesdale, a character of high reputation, overwhelmed by guilt, torn apart by his own wrongdoing, makes his entrance into history as the tragic hero whose life becomes a montage of pain and agony because of his mistakes. The themes leading to Dimmesdale’s becoming a tragic hero are his guilt from his sin, and his reluctance to tarnish his reputation in the town. Guilt plays a huge role in defining Dimmesdale as a tragic hero. Dimmesdale has understood that by not revealing his sin, he has doomed himself. This also connects with the constant struggle with Chillingworth. The mysteries of Dimmesdale’s guilty heart entice Chillingworth to delve into his soul and reveal what has been hidden, causing Dimmesdale great pain and suffering. His guilt is taking over, causing him to inflict pain upon himself while also experiencing true and meaningful suffering. Guilt is not the only theme in the novel that help to characterize Dimmesdale as a tragic hero, but reputation and authority in the community also help to characterize him as a tragic hero. Arthur Dimmesdale has a grand reputation and authority in his community, which worsens his downfall. The respect he had from his community makes them hurt worse when they see his decline. His excessive pride makes him ignorant to most, until the end when all things go downhill. He also made a life altering decision of whether to stay and face his guilt, or to run away from his mistakes. Arthur Dimmesdale, from Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter, is an example of a tragic hero because of the downfall brought about by his guilt and necessity to uphold his authority in the town.
The Second Great Awakening impacted the social scholarly literature. The traditional school of thought has tended to portray the time period as one of widespread secularization and the concomitant efforts of church elites to bring wandering Christians back into the ecclesiastical fold. The Second Great Awakening appears as a process of renewal, as churches tried to co-opt Evangelical activism by dressing in new clothes, rather than the old traditional. By concentrating on the impulses of the Presbyterian and Congregationalist establishments, but neglecting the Second Great Awakening outside New En...
In this paper i’m going to be covering the importance and what the Second Great Awakening was as well as commenting on the great revival. The second great awakening was a reprise of the great awakening that happened in the early eighteenth century. It was marked on a personal based level. It was beginning to get bigger in many places and in several different active forms. In northern New England, there was a social activism that took place, the movement encouraged a large growth of all the newer denominations. The Second Great Awakening was a time of mythical and revival. Which was all within the newly formed nation of America. The British

Technology is supposed to be seen as such an advancement and great accomplishment. What others may not always know is sometimes it isn’t all fun and games, it can be dangerous. As seen when we created the atomic bomb and guns, their only purpose is to destroy and cause pain to others. Although they are not always in use, they are a constant threat to our well being. We need to take into consideration the positives and the negatives of the technology we create today.

Even though the First and Second Great Awakenings focused its attention on other matters of life later on, religion was the theme upon which they were built. The First Great Awakening started among the American colonial Protestants during the early 1700s, mainly due to the weakening of the strict Puritan tradition of religious doctrine, and in part, the religious decline caused by negative publicity from the Salem witch trials and the Enlightenment (www.wikipedia.org). The movement to correct these problems began with Jonathan Edwards, a strictly Puritan, orthodox theologian from Massachusetts who dedicated his time to bringing the people back to the strict Calvinist roots, and to reawaken the fear of God' (www.wikipedia.org). He was a powerful speaker, and preached to his large followings that it was to simply come to church was not enough to be saved, but they must also acknowledge their grievances in the heart, and feel God's love for them (Danzer, 38). He set off the wave of religious revival, as preachers traveled all across the colonies, attracted thousands of people to revival meetings of spiritual rebirth, gave impassioned sermons, and encouraged people to rededicate themselves to God (Danzer, 38). Although after the First Great Awakening America's religious zeal faded, its influence in religion was the beginning step (www.wikipedia.org). The Second Great Awakening's religious cycle took a bigger step in trying to turn the religious tide. Starting in New York during the early 1800s, the movement spread north, south, and west before ending during the 1840s (Klepp, 2). The Second Great Awakening's religious portion came about through the replacement of the predestination doctrine with the belief that anyone, whether they be sinners or not, can achieve salvation through the internal and external struggle against sin.
There are always two sides to a story, correct? This includes technology itself. We all know that technology has its good times and then it has its bad times. Some of the common things that most people have is a cell phone. The good thing about a cell phone is the convenience of having a phone handy when you need it. You have every contact you need inside your mobile device. You can kill some time by playing games and downloading apps. The down side to it is, if you do not charge it, it dies. Then you have no way of calling anyone, especially when you need it the most in the case of an emergency. Technology has its pros and cons, but has anyone ever thought that good weighs more than bad?

The most significant religious reform happening in the United States in the early nineteenth century was the Second Great Awakening. The religious reform responded the urgency of the Americans for religious rebirth and salvation. Preachers from all religious sections participated in such a religious ferment. As Mintz points out, “Highly emotional meetings were held by preachers in all sections of the country. So widespread were they in the early nineteenth century that they acquired a name, the ‘Second Great Awakening.’ [1] The Second Great Awakening originated in a small central Kentucky. Hundreds of thousands of religious zealots gathered at Cane Ridge beginning from August 6 to 12, 1801, praying, fasting and taking communion. The gathering
Technology is not all bad. The whole point of this is that people have to be sure that everyone is aware of all the good and bad aspects of technology. Feeling that the advance of technology is a good trend for our society; however, it must be in conjunction with advances in education so that society is able to master and understand technology. In the future, we may see many problems arising from this new wave of technology. Unemployment numbers will most probably rise, crime will increase, and we can be the masters of technology, and not let it be the masters of
I cannot forget how excited I was when I first bought my own computer. Like a mother who spends time sewing and knitting for her newborn baby, I spent hours and hours to sparkle my computer. I waited a long time to buy a brand new computer. I had to work more hours and saved money to buy a computer. I did not want to buy a cheap computer, but I wanted to buy a professional one. Was I professional on computer? No! I was not. I did not even know how to type, but I was sure that my expensive com puter could make me a computer expert. 17 inches monitor, color printer, two speakers and well-designed fancy keyboard made me just happy by looking at them on my desk.
