The fluid is then circulated through collectors by a pump, and is later transferred into the hot water cylinder. After that, hot water can be used in water taps. I will support solar energy as the best alternative energy to fossil fuels for reducing pollution and making the world a healthier and safer place to live in years to come. This limits to what could actually be the new and improved energy source that the human race turns to because if it was easy to figure out and use then it would have already been done. The technology improvements though have allowed the path for a new type of energy though that is starting to catch on fast; this new energy is renewable energy. This type of energy will never run out and is better for the environment because it is using natural things and just making energy out of it. Solar, wind, and hydro power are three major types of renewable energy sources that have started to lead the way in this movement of change, the only question is if they are actually cheaper, more effective, and easier to use. The first example of a source of renewable energy is solar energy.

The PV cells don’t directly need sunlight to work unlike solar panels, they can still generate electricity on cloudy days. Basically PV cells can produce small amount of energy when the sun isn’t even out, however the sunnier it is the more power is generated. And also the current building regulations, requires the developers to reduce the amount of carbon emitted from new buildings as part of the Governments objective of achieving zero carbon emissions from all the new buildings by the end of the decade. Solar panel is one of the most popular sustainable technology at this moment because of its benefits which are • It cuts electricity bills – PV cells use sunlight to produce electricity which is free so it doesn’t cost any money, PV cells can produce around 50% of the electricity used in the drop in centre cutting the electricity bills down by 50% • It also reduces carbon footprint – PV cells doesn’t release any harmful CO2 or any other pollutants, the drop in centre could save round 1500 kg of ... ... middle of paper ... ...work [Accessed: 27 Feb 2014]. Solar power is the energy that comes from the sun as light and heat energy, and then it is later converted into electrical energy through solar panels (Nelson, 2008). This kind of power is completely free, right? Why should we put a lot of expense on other sources of energy, when there is a complete free and healthy power? It is evident that solar energy is a healthy source of energy, which will help stop global warming all together, but it is economically efficient to switch everything to solar energy. Solar energy is capable of becoming the world's future power supply because, it is renewable, eco-friendly, and extremely efficient when strategically placed.

Owen Paterson said “The relationship between renewable energy sources and the communities we expect to host them must be appropriate and sustainable and, above all, acceptable to local people.” For that reason, environmentalists have long assumed that wind power is a much more efficient and sustainable way to generate electricity. However, non-supporters of wind power state otherwise because there are a few negative outcomes to using wind power. Ultimately, when it came to the nature of wind power the basic assumption was that it is beneficial to the environment and communities. Although wind power may seem of concern to a small group of environmentalist, it should in fact concern anyone who cares about the environment and the world we live in. In the book The World is Flat author Thomas Friedman emphasizes a few crucial rules on how individuals and businesses can thrive in a globalizing world.
Although renewable energy can be expensive to build, it has less environmental damages in comparison to non-renewable energy. Besides the natural resources such as sun, wind, water and hydrogen, we also have geothermal power, and biofuels as renewable sources. First of all, solar energy is the energy produced when the sun heats the solar panel. Thus, when the sun heat the panels, it produces electricity. Solar power produces energy during the day and can storage energy for the night.
