These next few paragraphs are going to address the differences and similarities between Presidents Jackson and Jefferson. These two men were some of our earliest presidents and both had a massive influence on our history. Focusing on their similarities in precedence, these two influential presidents both served two terms. They both had a negative attitude toward Native Americans. These men were also Southerners who had plantations and slaves, proving that although they had dissimilar beliefs, they were quite similar in a few ways. Starting with some variances, these two men had separate beliefs on what the size of the government should be. Jefferson believed we should have had a smaller government focusing mainly on presidency and commerce.
