Love never heals the sick or weak, but it does have a powerful influence on our well-being. Love is not all about living in the reality of things. However, at the end of it all they still represent what someone feels love is and the main theme in both of these poems is love. Even though they are comprised of the same theme they are very much different on the point of view of love and also structure. Their prospective on love can cause these poems not to be paired together because they are so different.
Love is not usually well defined. People often think that they are in love, but they cant explain it. There is a great dealing of confusion of the words love, and infatuation. Love may include romance, infatuation, affection and tenderness. But it could be love if one or more of the elements are not present.
Robert Nozick’s Love’s Bond is a clear summary of components, goals, challenges, and limitations of romantic love. Nozick gives a description of love as having your wellbeing linked with that of someone and something you love. I agree with ideas that Nozick has explained concerning the definition of love, but individuals have their meaning of love. Every individual has a remarkable thing that will bring happiness and contentment in their lives. While sometimes it is hard to practice unconditional love, couples should love unconditionally because it is a true love that is more than infatuation and overcomes minor character flaw.
Because passion is rooted in different principles than love, it does not rely on love to flourish. Passion can sustain even with the absence of love. As mentioned earlier, passion to me, is seen as a negative. So why is love a positive? In the story we see this love as timeless, spanning through different lives and taking place in different locations.
So, we all know that it is inherently in all of mankind to want validation and acceptance that is found in love. We have a desire to be shown such great love. So, if our desire is this, and many say that they live out the Golden Rule, why do we not see this mighty compassion in our daily lives? Think about it, when do you feel like you have truly treated another the way you really want to be treated. If the command itself entails that much love, then I’d say that few really follow
In human society, people remain searching others who could complement themselves and feel love with each other. Love, a strong emotion of human beings, is hard to be defined. It is born into our lives. Couples, those people with love, could be strong and powerful when facing their difficulties and happiness in their life. We can see the great about love, but what about the nature of love?
I think this would lead to unhappiness because I don’t think becoming happy over someone else’s pain fits into morality, self-interest, or love. In conclusion, in order to be happy one needs to find a passion that they love. This passion needs to worthy of love. This passion should, however, be appropriate and something that would be looked at as meaningful by other people. It is very important that this account of happiness has the factor of doing things for love, because that is an important reason for doing things that can’t be explained in any other way.
The word love is usually misused or misinterpreted. There are numerous meanings and definitions to this overly used word. Not many of them make much sense to me. Love is a feeling of complete bliss. Love is something that can’t be touched or bought, but is something that is much better than money and earthly objects.
True love is different from the definition that society follows by. Alternatively, true love is the opposite of society’s definition in which a person is not needing or being attached to another person, but instead sets both parties in a relationship free; for there is trust, honesty, communication, commitment, and so on between one another. However, there are conditions in which both people have to have and implement all of these qualities in the relationship or else one would be at risk of being emotionally hurt or heart broken because the person will feel as if his or her love is being taken advantaged of and the person does not feel val... ... middle of paper ... ...e needs to be the right amount of infatuation to start love and make it gradually develop into true love. There needs to be more than feelings for love. Conditional love is love for the fact that the person tries to push the other person to do their best because they care, but love that is forceful meaning that it has to be earned under conditions is not love.
These emotional ideas of timeless, patient love tie into many current studies over the physical chemistry of love and our motives for love. Gabriel Garcia Marquez in Love in The Time of Cholera explores the depths of love, not only emphasizing the impact it has on a person’s life, but provides an insightful perspective into our motives for desiring love and how we react to it. Human’s desire to live is driven by emotional and physical needs. On Maslow’s hierarchy of human needs, love and belonging is almost as vital as basic safety and physical health. Physically, we love as an evolutionary trait that we maintain to sustain life and continue our DNA.
