In society, education and job are the most important thing to survive. If we want to survive, we have to work even if the job is the good or bad job, but if you have a good degree, you can work any good field and your job will count into good job category. This paper will explore two things, they are good versus bad jobs and mass education, how they connect with each other and how it affects in social life.
Good versus bad jobs have good and bad effect in our social life. In the book, John Lie tells about his experience that how he applied in a factory for a job in the summer. In the book, it says that bad jobs do not pay that much and require the performance of routine task under close supervision, and you have to face the unpleasant working conditions dangerous and for the worst jobs you need little formal education. In dangerous situations, you can easily be fired and you receive few benefits and the chance for promotions are few. Any good jobs require higher levels of education and they pay well and the environment is also excellent. The real good jobs did not strictly supervise and they encourage the worker to put their ideas. The good jobs offer secure employment, benefits and lots of opportunities for promotion. In good jobs, if you are working in one company more than one year, the company will give you two weeks of paid vacation. With good jobs, the company offers security. Most of the jobs fell into the category of bad jobs or good jobs. According to the book, dangerous jobs are often called “dead-end”. People also do the full and part-time jobs, even if those jobs are in a right or wrong category. Some part-timers have good jobs and bad jobs.
