Abstract: This review is to have an overview of the psychological disorders and treatment of my uncle, Steve Bertrand. This will allow a brief description of some of the psychological disorders that were found, and how he should or has been treated for them. Some of the Psychological Disorders that will be mentioned are, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Anxiety Disorder, Eating Disorder, Substance Related Disorder, and Depression. Near the ending of this paper I will be talking about the treatment that is needed, and treatment that may have been used in the past. Some treatment or therapy that will be mention includes Insight Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. This discussion will be supported by some websites, peer reviews, words from family members, and our Psychology book by Wayne Weiten.

Growing up my Uncle Steve has always been mentioned in a low breath, I never understood why until I first met him two years ago. We were at a family get together and I had never seen him around before, never gotten the chance because he generally was not allowed to come. I then curiously began to ask around, finding out that he had gone through a lot of hardships. To me he seemed just to be a troubled man. During these past couple years I had really started to get to know him, and the real story behind the man that was always scolded and whispered about.
