This essay will discuss about the research method on the designing and analysing the nose cone design of 2014 formula 1 race car. This research is aimed to analyse the 2014 formula 1 nose cone design and optimised it to get a better design of the nose cone but still have aerodynamic flow and also still meet the regulation requirement of 2014 formula 1 championship. There are four main objectives to help fulfil the aim of the project they are: design the nose cone of selected teams by using engineering design software, simulate the nose cone design by using flow simulation and finite element analysis engineering software, optimised the design to get the better shape of the nose cone, and critical analyse the 2014 formula 1 nose cone design and the optimised nose cone design. Formula 1 car is the highest level of car racing championship. The regulation on the formula 1 is extremely tight where a little mistake can make the car is not legal to race. The regulation is keep changing every year to make the formula 1 car is more safety year by year. Since 2012 the regulation make the formula 1 nose cone is little bit unusual with the step nose cone. This change of the nose cone make a lot of formula 1 team and fans complained that the car is in the bad looking. This year, FIA as the formula 1 championship promoter try to change the regulation of the formula 1 nose cone to make car looks better but in fact the formula 1 2014 nose cone is worse than 2012 and 2013 formula 1 car with step nose cone. According to Bentley (1998), the nose cone design of the formula 1 will affect the aerodynamic of the car which will affect the handling during the cornering and speed of the formula 1 car itself. Aerodynamic flow is all the matter for the form... ... middle of paper ... ...themselves struggling to describe what the actual definition of philosophy. The main problem to describe the philosophy is not because there are a lot of sub-discipline component list. The main problem to describe the meaning of philosophy is when combine all of the sub-discipline to become one discipline. (Rosenberg, 2012). There are four mains classification of philosophy assumption, they are; ontology, epistemology and axiology (McClean, 2012). Ontology is a philosophy assumption which deals with the reality of the study and the understanding of appearance and existence (McClean, 2012).. Epistemology is a philosophy assumption which deals with the nature and basis of the knowledge, understanding of the knowledge and authenticity of knowledge (McClean, 2012). Axiology is a philosophy assumption which deals with the study of ethics and aesthetics (McClean, 2012).
