Eating has been one a great joy to me my entire life. It is a huge portion of everyone’s day, and for most, happens at least three times a day. If we eat three meals a day every day for a year that is one thousand and ninety five meals! With all these meals we need a nice place to sit down and enjoy it. Whenever I get hungry, I always find myself at Chick-fil-a; well, at least five times a week. The familiar sights, comforting scents, and soothing sounds of Chick-fil-A that make it the birthplace of happiness. The warming atmosphere is one of a kind. Behind the counter are the caring faces of not just a worker, but a friend. Regular guests are called by name, sharing stories of families and the past week with the welcoming employees. Sitting all around in tables and booths are patrons from every category. Beside the window on a high table to the left is a lawyer, to the right is a mother and her two kids. In a booth in the back is a construction worker still covered slightly in concrete from a road job he had been working on back on 19th Street. Buffalo Wild Wings was founded in 1982 by two longtime friends, Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowery. Disbrow was born in Kentucky and moved to Cincinnati Ohio, when he turned 11 so he could live with figure-skating coaches David and Rita Lowery the two later became his legal guardians. In 1946 two brothers, Ben and Truitt Cathy, opened a diner in Atlanta Georgia called the Dwarf House Grill. The Dwarf House served a variety of typical grill food that included everything from burgers to hot dogs. All of that changed in 1961 when a poultry supplier stopped buy and sold Mr. Cathy chicken breast that were too large for the trays that they typically cooked the chicken on. Truitt Cathy decided that he did not want to throw out the chicken so he breaded the chicken and put it in the pressure fryer. He realized that he could cook the chicken in the same amount of time that it took to cook a hamburger and it tasted great. He had hamburger buns and pickles in the restaurant already and this is how the first chicken sandwich was made. In 1967 the first Chick-Fil-A store was opened in Atlanta’s Greenbrier Shopping Center and in 1986 the first freestanding franchise was opened. Today there are more than one thousand seven hundred Chick-Fil-A restaurants in thirty nine states. One of the ways that Chick-Fil-A has been able to make their company a success is through their unique approach to customer service. They are able to provide excellent customer service by turning individuals into team players. Teams can be seen in the hiring process, community involvement, national sponsorship, knowing what customers want, and cooperate culture. All of these different teams lead to excellence in customer service.
Chick-fil-A’s system is closely aligned with the TQM system because their primary concerns are quality in products and services, customer satisfaction and overall dining experience, and employee loyalty. Chicken nuggets is a popular food to many people. Many may ask who makes the best fast- food chicken nuggets ? This question is probably the most opinionated question ever ? There are many fast foods restaurants that sell chicken nuggets such as: Wendy’s , Mcdonald’s ,Burger King and Chick- fil-a.These four different restaurants all have different tastes to their nuggets. Now in my opinion ,chicken nuggets from Chick-fil-a are the best . They have great chicken and that is more flavorful. One other difference from chick-fil -a and these other fast foods restaurants is there chicken isn’t processed. The chicken is seasoned and cooked to perfection in the restaurant. According to Johnson , Chick-fil-A takes the title. The classic McNuggets are second, followed by Burger King and Wendy's.
Each organization big or small has its own values, ways of doing things and assumption that it operates in. The principles and ethics that exist in each of these companies are the baseline through which the company operates its affairs. This is what can be called as that organization’s culture. The culture in existence has an impact on the productivity, effectiveness and efficiency (Keyton, 2011). The basis of setting the most appropriate culture of a company is not only to move or increase the profitability but also to make the stakeholders happy and satisfied. One aspect of that is the employee or the human resource the firm who put their expertise in the firm and add a bit of creativity and innovativeness to move the products. Chick-Fil-A operates in a competitive industry thus it requires all the stakeholders.
One of my favorite commercials to watch is the Chick-Fil-A commercials. Their commercials are very ironic but at the same time interesting and entertaining. The main purpose of their commercial is to persuade an audience to go and buy their product or maybe convince an audience to come back again and buy more of their product. They are able to influence their audience through the use of rhetorical elements. Rhetorical elements include: the rhetor, discourse, audience, and rhetorical triangle. Their commercials don’t necessarily target one particular audience, they incorporate different ideas into their commercial to target different audiences such as families, and football fans.
The digestive system otherwise known as the gastrointestinal tract (GI tract) is a long tube which runs from the mouth to the anus. It operates to break down the food we eat from large macromolecules such as starch, proteins and fats, which can’t be easily absorbed, into readily absorbable molecules such as glucose, fatty acids and amino acids. Once broken down, these molecules can cross the cells lining the small intestine, enter into the circulatory system and be transported around the body finally being used for energy, growth and repair.

Their main mission is to produce quality food that is not only very flavorful, but leaves the customer wanting to come back with a smile on their face. I conducted my experiment earlier this week while at the new Chick-fil-a for roughly forty-five minutes. It was a busy lunch rush so many customers or employees didn't bother to notice me while they enjoyed their visit. There seemed to be a common theme amongst the employees and the store as well as the customer’s interactions with each other. Each person’s life is as deep and complex as my own and their actions represented interesting results.
Ehrenreich didn’t want to be a waitress any more than some waitresses, but she did it for her research. Ehrenreich once stated that, “Waitres sing is also something I’d like to avoid, because I remember it leaving me bone-tired when I was eighteen.” (13). Her first job was at Hearthside, a restaurant in Key West, Florida. She was hired as a waitress, starting at $2.43 plus tips. She worked the afternoon shift. Hearthside was being managed by a West Indian man by name of Phillip. The management wasn’t the best. They treated their employees disrespectfully. At an employee meeting, they were threatened by the management. Ehrenreich stated, “I have not been treated this way-lined up in the corridor, threatened with locker searches, peppered with carelessly aimed accusation-since junior high school” (24). When they were just standing around, the manager would give them extra work to do. According to Ehrenreich, “You start dragging out each little chore because if the manager on duty catches you in an idle moment, he will give you something far nastier to do. So I wipe, I clean, consolidate catsups bottles and recheck the cheesecake supply, even tour the tables to make sure the customer evaluation is standing perkily.” (22).
