Everybody has a gateway destination that brings them happiness, peace, where for a few days the time slows down and you live out every full moment and for me that would be the beach house on Seal Rock. This beach house has brought me many great memories with my family ever since the age of two my family and I would go for a few days or even a week to get away from the city and actually enjoy nature at its best. It’s my third home away from home. The beach house itself isn’t just the great part but the drive to it as well Oregon is full of nature and traveling by car is the best way to really see it all. On the way to the beach house you get to look at all the bright and dark green trees watch the branches sway from side to side while the wind blows you get to open your window and put your arm out and make it flow with the wind, feel, smell, and taste the fresh breeze. The atmosphere outside is just as great as the one inside the car, most beach house trips are only ever done with my family so in the car we become one we converse, laugh, remember what life really is all about and to indulge in what can only be done when one is truly in a moment with one and others. As we near the house there is only one stop that must be made and that is to a house building on the side of the road where we must go in in order to get the house keys. As you go in to the …show more content…
I believe it’s crucial to sometimes step away from your life and live it in a different perception in order to really appreciate and understand the things we are very much blessed with. For me going to the beach house brings me clarity that sometimes we don’t always have to live in a fast paced life and that I must take time to really indulge in life moments not only at the beach house but wherever I may
...costing, hot weather, regular, lay on the beach vacation, I suggest taking a trip to Key West, Florida, but for those outdoor types, like myself, who want to experience one of the most breathtaking places in the world and literally sit above the clouds, a vacation getaway to Denali National Park in Alaska is your cup of tea. The colder weather in Alaska was not as bad as I had thought it to be. Common snow clothes were suitable outdoors clothing for the time of the year I went and regular camping supplies worked out for me during my stay. Denali National Park is hands down the most beautiful place in America and is worth every penny it costs you to travel there and experience nature in its purity. It was a life altering experience climbing mountains high above the clouds and seeing how truly magnificent and compelling the earth must have looked thousands of years ago.
Many people desire a place to go where they can fulfill are there desires. Many people yearn for a place to go where they can carry out there wildest dreams. I have found my place to encompass all of these feelings. My place of escape was New Orleans, Louisiana. Since Hurricane Katrina devastated the country with its monstrous winds. New Orleans was a perfect place designed for amusement, vacation, and partying. Thousands of people came from all over the world to experience what New Orleans had to offer. From its hotels, music, food, and diversity, New Orleans provides a load of variety that most cities can't come close
If you were forced to pick your paradise, where do you think your thoughts would take you? Would you go to the quaint wooden cabin in Michigan that has been in the family for years? Or would you think of your cozy apartment a top a skyscraper in your favorite concrete jungle? Without a second thought, my mind rushes to Pawley’s Island, South Carolina. As locals describe it best, the “elegantly shabby” beachside town 40 minutes from Charleston has been my chosen vacation spot since childhood. Between the hammock shops, crabbing in the creeks and ghost stories, there is always something to entertain you on the island. With only the best memories there, never did I think that there would be something to hold me back from indulging in the lazy beach bum lifestyle.
Although it has been years since our most recent visit to the shore side of Ocean City, New Jersey, the memories and senses never abandon my mind. All I can recall is the wondrous combination of the scorching heat, the grainy sand in between my toes, and the overwhelming smell of salt and delicious foods . . . I feel as if I am standing right there right now! Who could ever relinquish the beauty of the shore, the healing the shore accomplishes, and the tastes of the wondrous foods?
Once we got back to the Gulf of Mexico on the second day, my family got to swim with the dolphins! It was amazing! Before we got in
Everyone has a place to brings peace and serene. A place where they can let everything go and have nothing to worry about. For me, the sunrise and sunset of Pensacola Beach in Florida was the ultimate cure for all of my problems and worries that were occurring in my life. Early in the morning waking up to the constant loud sound of my alarm put me in a soothing mood. As I head to my closet to open up the narrow framed door to reveal all the simple clothing, I fill with excitement of going to the beach to watch the sunrise and sunset.
Every day Myrtle beach, South Carolina all the city enjoy with the sunshine during the year because the sunny climate, warm temperatures, and warm Atlantic water. It’s one of the most popular in the east coast. We reserved in crystal hotel. It’s the best hotel because the pools was very clear and blue. Sometimes I did diving and I saw beautiful fish and amazing color small fish plus some awesome Morgan during my diving under water. Also, the food was so delicious, daily I get my favorite plate from
I understand if people disagree that Hawaii isn't the greatest, but people go there for retirements, and or vacations for reasons. Because it's relaxing, calm, peaceful, and fun. It's like a whole new you when you go there. That's one reason why I'd go there, the other reasons is that you get to be adventurous,
My first trip to Lake Chelan was the best way I've ever spent a Labor Day weekend. My best friend's family invited me to go with them and although there were some downs, the ups were even better. This trip was important because I have never had more fun in my life!
Ocean City offers a wide variety of dining choices. My favorite restaurant is the Marina Deck located at 306 Dorchester Street. Try their cream of crab soup for a taste of true Maryland cuisine, or select from any of their seafood dishes, everything is very good. As with any restaurant, house specialties are always the best so don't go to a seafood restaurant expecting great ribs. Marina Deck is a must visit while in Ocean City.
The beach offered a perfect spot to nestle in the warm sand and relax after swimming. In my childhood, I constructed sand castles. The water washed across the sand and formed little ripples on the beach. With my little hand, I grabbed the wet sand. The sand drizzled from my hands and formed the towers of drip castles. I would dig into the sand and carved out a small moat around the castle. After the night, the tide swept away the sand castles and the beach returned to its previous form. Also, I swung on the beach. While on the swing, I watch the sunset. The sunset formed a palette mix of pink, orange and brown. The blue waves of Lake Michigan stretched for miles beyond the sight of the naked eye. The Lake spread as far away as the ocean. I frequently wondered if anyone, except a superhuman could see the other side of Lake Michigan. A different activity on the beach was beach volleyball. As a child, I lacked athletics fitness but enjoyed the occasional beach volleyball game. Other people on the beach joined in the fray and people moved in and out the volleyball game. The memories of the beach hold a special place in my
I found myself looking out into a new, yet oddly familiar world. The conditions seemed fuzzy, but all too real. The arrangement of furniture, the color of paint, the television mounted on the wall, the scenery out the window, it was all new. It was all different. It was all something I had never seen before; and for the life of me, I couldn’t seem to figure out how I had managed to end up in this slightly less than picturesque setting.
As my car turns into the parking lot, I can smell the crisp seawater air.I have finally arrived at the Wildwood Boardwalk. When a person steps onto the boardwalk, they see millions of colors zipping around.Carnival games are at the front of the boardwalk. My favorite carnival game is the watergun game.Once I beat all of the other contestants at the game stand, and won a huge plush Spongebob. While playing the carnival games,I can smelll food coming from a couple of feet away. The sweet and salty scent of popcorn, zeppolis, and ice cream, balances perfectly with the freshness of the seawater.Boardwalk food is greasy and delicious. If I walk farther down the boardwalk,I can see the mall.Boardwalk malls are different than normal malls. At these malls you
The tiles were still dirty from the residue of chlorine and pittle combined into one thick layer of impossible gunk. This gunk surrounded the edge of pool right where the water met the lowest part of the tile and was even apparent underneath the shallow water fountain around the back end. The ring had been worn away in spots where the missus had got so fed up that she was gonna put an end to this "ring of filth" once and for all. A few times she had started, but had always found a broken nail or straying hair to become spontaneously obsessive about when her arm got tired of scrubbing.
When reminiscing about my childhood a home is hard to recall. It seemed common for others to have a place called home. Moving from house to house was not the problem, but the empty feeling. Home to me was my grandparent’s house. I spent nearly all of my childhood there. My grandparents bought the one story house with two bedrooms in the early seventies. From the spacious bedroom, to the kitchen with endless possibilities and the way I spent my time this house defined my character.
