What prompts him to write this essay, is from constantly having to deal with the same types of drivers that cause him to get angry, or rage. He was living in Miami whilst writing this, which is a city of a large population, with lots of traffic. The immediate audience targeted would be other drivers, as reading this would get his points out and maybe they’d stop doing certain things he mentioned. The secondary audience would be future drivers, as they would now know what they should maybe sometimes avoid doing. Like when he mentions “-the aggressive young male whose car has a sound system so powerful and the driver must go faster than the speed of sound at all times-”. Future drivers may read this and think twice about doing it.

Today’s society appears to be constantly on the go. People seem to be pulled in multiple directions at once. Individuals never appear to have enough time to complete tasks that continually accumulate. It can be difficult to criticize someone that tries to make the most out every minute. Unfortunately, some of today’s drivers show a lack of judgment and trying to perform other tasks, while behind the wheel. People may feel this is best use time while getting to a destination. Occasionally, the small amount of time that people are trying to gain results in a time consuming accident. With modern conveniences that are geared toward an on the go public, individuals appear to be too preoccupied to driving safely.
It goes for the same as walking as past a person, you won’t walk past them by cutting them off otherwise you will bump into each other. Don’t take up two lanes when parking, maintain a safe distance away from cars in front.

This essay is to inform you about certain aspects of driving. In this letter I am going to talk about the effect of response time, a safe following distance, how the stopping distance depends on speed, how to decide what to do at a yellow light and how you have to change your speed around a curve. In the next following paragraphs I will explain each of the topics that I have listed and I will give you a better knowledge of how to be a safer driver.
Everyday there are people who commute on streets and highways, they are trying to get to where they want to go. The biggest dilemma is ‘how’ they get to their destination not many of us pay attention, but 97% of us drive with distractions. The other percentages consists of six consequently dangerous ways, which include, texting, drinking, applying makeup, reading, eating, and arguing with others while behind the wheel. All of these are very hazardous, costly, and sadly deadly. Distracted drivers put lives in jeopardy everyday and if a ticket saves a life, then it would be worth it and hopefully make the person realize that the text can wait. Some may say that teenagers are the more prone to be distracted while behind the wheel but its not just them, everyday people are susceptible to this, moms, dads, businessmen, etc. it is irresponsible of any person not including, police officers who pull over and park their cruiser so they may use any device they have. Not every state has laws to prevent all forms of distractions behind the wheel. But there are a some laws that ban Driving while intoxicated and texting while in school zones. According to the CDC each day in the United States nine more people are killed then 1060 crashes are reported involving a distracted driver.” Several innocent drivers are put in unpredictable situations having to be surrounded by distracted drivers, we all have to drive for each other and it is especially harder when people are not paying attention to the road. The numbers of people being killed in crashes involving a distracted driver has increased and is expected to rise with the expansion of technology. Distracted driving can increase chances of a possible vehicle crash. There is no specific group that...
The harm is seen as intentional. Trait aggression is predicted by various personal, social, cognitive, and environmental factors. While not meeting the criteria for trait aggression, some individuals demonstrate a “trait”-like disposition toward frequent, extreme acts of aggression. From this perspective, some drivers may develop trait aggression tendencies, which is a unique personal quality differing from those who seek to take risks or gain excitement from driving. Trait driver aggression appears to involve a heightened tendency to misperceive actions and intentions of other drivers as hostile and threatening, and to become frustrated by the actions of others (Hennessy, 2011). Aggressive driving, risky driving, and minor losses of vehicle control were predicted by driving anger (12121212). Researchers found that sensation seeking predicted aggressive driving, losses of concerntrationwhil edriving ,moving citations, minor and major accidents (2323). It was found that openness predicted risky driving and agreeables predicted losses of vehicular control; findings are consistent with previous studies. Emotional stability predicted aggressive driving while conscientiousness and extraversion did not predict
Every year, thousands of people are injured or killed in car wrecks caused by road rage/ aggressive driving. Despite this fact many people still are impatient and become angry on the road. Driving is a curious display of public and private acts. A car isolates the driver from the world. The personal sensation of power over a couple thousand pound car is intoxicating. Road rage/aggressive driving starts from things such as illegal or improper lane changes, failing to yield the right of way, and excessive speeding just to name a few. Everyday we deal with this type of driving. Everyone runs a great risk just driving around the corner to the local convenience store or just to the local church. According to U.S. News and World Report, the United States Department of Transportation estimates that two-thirds of fatalities are at least partially caused by road rage/ aggressive driving. This essay will look at some of the arguments for and against road rage/aggressive driving.
Many people take a lot of pride in their vehicle and personalize it to their liking with decorations, custom designs or auto bodywork, and some cars may have sentimental value. The occupation of driving and the physical environment of the car can be very meaningful to a person. The physical environment can also be a barrier for a person with a disability. Cars are often very compact and can be very hard to maneuver, although adaptions for cars are available. The natural environment of driving is also imperative. The natural environment can significantly impact the occupation of driving and how hard or easy it is to participate. Driving in a windy snow storm is going to look a lot different than on a beautiful sunny day. The natural environment of the road is also very impacting when thinking about how one drives on a rocky, curvy back road versus a smooth, straight
“The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers” -Dave Barry, comedian. The number of accidents over the last ten years have drastically increased, drivers are paying less attention to the road itself. Many individuals behind the wheel of a car believe that their driving does not affect the road conditions, however it always will. The driving habits of today are catastrophic due to the reasoning that the driving will affect other lives through reckless or distracted driving, and disobeying traffic laws.
