Going into the pre-med program at the ATA I had previously thought about being an Orthodontist. It was something i found very very interesting. Going through the pre med class and interning at a pediatric dental office over the summer i decided that was far from what i wanted to do. I am almost positive that i would like to become a Dermatologist or something along those lines. After graduating high school i want to attend Horry Georgetown Technical College. After this two year program i will transfer to a four year college. I'm not 100% sure on what college i would like to attend but i'm strongly thinking about attending Charleston Southern. I choose this because I have always been interesting helping people who are in need. I have always …show more content…
I feel like none of the task a dermatologist has to do would be a problem for me except for surgeries. I do not know if i would be up for doing that kind of task. A Dermatologist treats conditions and diseases of the skin, nails, and hair. Dermatologist also treat anything from fungus and/or bacterial infections of the skin. Dermatologist can even treat cancer. Another task they do is they assign task to nurses and other health care workers. Dermatologist need to be very good at explaining test results and treatment options with other patients. The typical hours worked in this profession are about approximately 40 hours a week, Which is about 8 hours a day. The typical workplace environment for a dermatologist would be in a doctor's office or a private office taking into thought that they have their own business. Just to name a few, some of the equipment used for this profession would be glasses, mask, lab coat, and gloves. They physical task dermatologist have to do are mostly just doing minor surgeries and even touching/examining the patient's skin. (“Dermatologist”). Depending on what distance of travel, if someone needs them in a doctor's office or something they could travel there but i don't think too much of long …show more content…
According to (“Personal Inventory”) this is one of the reasons why i choose this career. My personality type which is ISPF according to the (“personality test”) which fits with my career for the most part. I love helping people who are in need and want answers. I love to see people happy/satisfied. My weakness in this field would be to engaging in conversation. That is something i need to work on. I am not much of a talker but i am a really good listener. There are actually 6 different types of dermatologist. (“Meet Dr. Prussick”) One of those 6 i did do further research on is a cosmetic dermatologist. The difference between a cosmetic dermatologist and just an average dermatologist. A cosmetic dermatologist is a medical doctor who seeks more training in dermatology. They specialize in treating the skin cosmetically. They use Botox,Collagen injections,Chemical peels, laser surgery, etc….. This speciality does seem interesting but i am just going to stick with a regular dermatologist for this
With many medical careers students often get confused on what they really want to study, I have faced this problem myself and I know is not that easy due too many choices. There are many options ranging from healthcare to medical jobs. I have thoughtfully chosen to enter the program for Medical Assistant (MA). Ever since I was a child, I’ve spent most of childhood years at the Hospital, I was diagnosed with a rare condition that had to be treated continuously, this meant that I had to be going to checkups every three months so I was close to doctors, surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologist, medical assistants, etc. I remember at first I was frightened just of the thought of going to the doctor but after a few visits I got used to. The doctors and nurses were nice and caring and made me feel comfortable that I end up enjoying my doctor’s visits every time. Since then I decided I wanted to work in the medical field, this is my goal since I can remember. I have always enjoyed helping people in any way I possibly can. I chose to be a Medical Assistant because I think is great way to start my medical career going and programs are practical and not long.
A survey certified that average women spend about $13,000 on makeup in her life time. Not only that, but also spend 300 hours applying it. Beauty tends to increase the self esteem of women, they think more positive of themselves. Along with that like anything else cosmetology has revolutionized throughout the years. Cosmetology has played an important role in lives of women, it does not only represent beauty, but also self confidence.

I will take science and medical classes to expand my realm of knowledge in equipment and procedures I will perform. College will definitely be difficult, but I feel like if I try my best and put 110% into all my work I will

My lifetime goal is helping others and I plan to use my career to fulfill it. The classes I’m taking right now and the ones I’m planning to take senior year are classes I believe will influence my decision in my college major/career as well as counting toward my GPA. This will help me get into schools who have medical programs that I’m considering. Also, taking AP classes can help me save money since I can earn college credit. I’m taking all AP classes, and the electives I’m taking have been classes that have helped me consider being in the medical field. I’ve found that over the years, science and math are what I’m doing better in versus history and english. I believe by being in the medical field, I can help others in the best way I can.
Talk about the appointment, payment, insurance cover and effects of the treatment on your overall health and skin beforehand
Even though there are numerous medical fields that comes into contact with bodily fluid, my future career does not. My career in medical field is Counseling Psychology, it deals with helping people on an emotional level that deals with everyday feelings and thoughts. I chose to pursue this career because I like helping people find solutions to their mental conflicts . See, there are many people to help others in a physical way such as: police officers, firefighters, and etc. I also want to see how the human mind reacts to different problems the world throws at it. Most people will tell you that in this career you could have a hard time keeping your personal feelings out the advice you give the client. I disagree , I think if you have level head and are willing to
Although I am not entirely sure what field of medicine I would like to go into, I know that medicine is the right path for me because I really cannot picture myself doing anything else. I truly believe I am ready to face the innumerable obstacles, struggles, successes, and failures in my path to becoming a doctor because the day I am able medically treat and help others in any way possible will be a dream come true. Thus, being admitted into medical school will get me one step closer to obtaining my aspirations.
Before I began to do my search process, I made a list and wrote down the things I knew, and certain keywords I could use to find my information. Some of my keywords were, how has technology made cosmetology better, how has technology changed the industry, advances in cosmetology with their equipment and cosmetics, new advanced and enhanced things for cosmetology in 2016- 2017, and if they are making an effect on society. Finding my sources for my research paper wasn't a difficult process for me. I began by typing the question, “new technology in the beauty industry” in the Google search bar. I had a lot of different sources appear, that allowed me to have variety of sources that I needed for my paper.
Although I have great goals to help people, my grand wish cannot be granted without a great amount of effort on my part. I decided to take part in activities that would help me reach my goals and to ready myself for that field of work. My extracurricular activities and my electives showed proof of my interest in the medical field over time. I made an extra effort to look for activities and classes that could help me on the way to becoming a doctor. My first step was

While attending college, it is my ultimate goal to become a doctor, either a podiatrist, radiologist, or plastic surgeon. After completing a residency in my specialty, I would like to begin a medical practice somewhere in central Florida.
Life contains an unlimited amount of life lessons; my main life lesson has inspired me to never give up on myself or my goals. Through my life experiences I have learned that there is no such thing as failure. I am certain with myself that I can find success through hard work and dedication. My career aspiration is to help others as a healthcare professional. More specifically, I have a dream of pursuing a career in physical therapy. Nothing gives me more self-satisfaction than to see that I am able to help people self-improve. Therefore, I have committed to studying and preparing myself for graduate school. I am currently an Undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida, destined to graduate in the Fall of 2017. There are multiple Undergraduate degree paths I can take to prepare myself for grad-school; however, I chose a path that can help me develop skills to provide the best possible service for my future patients. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences
