Imagination a world without Oil, Water, Iron, coal, etc. you sit down to make some coffee you don’t have no water to make it! *Gasp* With no natural resources you can't do nothing! You would die, animals would die, everything will die! We couldn't create anything so Earth would be counterproductive. Depletion Of Natural Resources causes many problems all over the world that are caused by overpopulation that needs to be addressed.
Depletion Of Natural Resources is a problem that is affected all over the world but there is major regions that are affected by this problem. China is a big area affected by this problem because of all the overpopulation there. There is 1.351 billion people in china and with increasing population we will run out

Many like not having any resources all! Like completely out of oil, water, ores, etc. We could never get these things back! Its not like we don't use these resources, we use them for everything and all the time. The world could could not survive without having these resources, this means if we have less trees in the world then we have less air then less people its all a chain reaction. This is why we need to find some ways to stop these long and short term …show more content…
I know that we can't replace the air or the trees and living things.but we could try to replace some of the oil or coal! I know we have already have invented charcoal which you can create and is not a natural resource, but if we try hard enough we could invent other ways to have natural resources!
There is not a lot being done regarding this issue as I see,but I did find this one that the world is drilling down lower into the earth in hope to find water that has never been touched before! This could be great if they found more water. I know were not in desperate needs for water but in future years we will be. So this will help keep the earth alive and may also help to find a new way of creating water or finding more of it!
I think we should try to use the our resources more cautiously. I mean we use 85 million barrels a day of oil, at this rate our crude oil supply would be depleted in 25 YEARS! Everyone in the world should be doing this! If we don’t we're not going to survive on earth! We use the cured oil for fuel which is used for power or made into gas, which we need on earth! So this is how I think we should try to stop this
While humans are becoming increasingly aware of the environmental issues that are occurring in the world, most human systems are still unsustainable. Being sustainable in a society means that humans treat Earth like it has a limited supply of resources that need to be carefully managed in order to prevent damage to the world around us (Chiras, D. D., 2016). So, being unsustainable is the opposite; when humans treat the world like they are dominant over it, as well as believing that the Earth has an unlimited supply of resources that should be consumed by humans. Human beliefs and practices influence unsustainability, which can, and often do, correspond with the root cause of the problem.
As the world’s population slowly grows our world grows smaller as well. Resources sustain us, but when there are no resources then what would we do. Our population is always growing, which is a growing problem. Overpopulation has caused an increased resource depletion throughout the world, causing a push for more sustainable ideas.
Today, we take many of our natural resources for granted without think about the consequences. For example, cutting down trees, burning fossil fuel, and the consumption of meat. Our ozone layer is becoming weaker and weaker to due factories burning too much fossil fuel. This causes too much carbon dioxide, which affects our ozone layer. If we can limit the amount of natural resources we use on a daily basis, we will be able to see a big change in society.
...management than scarcity of that resource. In some cases up to 50% water in urban areas, and 60% of the water used for agriculture is wasted through evaporation and loss. Logging and land conversion to yield to the demands of human beings have been reduced to half the world's forests, which has increased soil erosion and water scarcity.
Developing our national economy, especially industry, requires a great amount of natural resources, such as land, water, oil, coal, gas and iron. However, the natural resources are limited and decline very quickly when a large population exploits them everyday. Take fresh water as an example, in 1990, 58% of Chinese cities (http://www.cass.net.cn/y_sjr/y_cn_sjr_334.htm) suffered from the insufficiency of water. It not only brings great disadvantages to people's daily life, but also has a passive influence on the economic development. Released by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the economic loss caused by the insufficiency of water is 250 billion RMB per year, including 230 billion lost industrial output and 20 billion agricultural losses.
Externalities must be addressed if our global economy is to survive. It is all fine and dandy to maximize our current global production, but if it leads to a catastrophic meltdown when resources run out, I cannot bring myself to enjoy the brief prosperity. Irresponsible overuse of finite resources is a kind of generational injustice leagues beyond the tragedy of genocide, since it will force a return to brutal, nasty and short lives, if humanity survives this sanguinary practice at all.
Africa's frontier forests have largely been destroyed by loggers, by farmers clearing land for agriculture. In west asia nearly 90 percent of the original moist forest is gone and what remains is heavily fragmented and destroyed. Almost 6.8 million square kilometers of africa were original forested, the forest of africa cover 250 million hectares and constitute more than 17 percent. Trees are cut down to be used or sold as fuel or timber, while cleared land is used for livestock.
Right now, if you were to turn on the news, you would very likely see some sort of report on resource depletion.
The demands of increasing population magnify demands for natural resources, clean air and water, as well as access to wilderness areas. In the future, when there are not enough resources to go around, we will see significant scarcity, and a backlash of poverty. A number of problems lie behind scarcity and poverty. Ultimately, our own numbers, and the lifestyles many of us choose to live, drive all the critical issues we confront. Left unchecked, the combination of population growth and consumption- along with increasing inequity between rich and poor individuals and nations-will soon threaten not only the well-being, but even the lives of a majority of people on this planet.
These days, the most controversial problem relates to forests. Forests supply a lot of useful benefits to human beings, for instance, trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen for people to breathe. Forests cover 31% of the land area on our planet (WWF, n.d.). Nobody can reject various advantages from forests. Some people also say that forests are a “green lung” for our planet. According to Food and Agriculture Organization, there are approximately half of the world’s tropical forests which have been destroyed (Szalay, 2013). Forests are lost each and every year. However, some people rely on several benefits of forests to be mercenary. They cut down trees and destroy millions of surfaces to build houses, industrial estates or to serve for human life. That is why, the areas of forests all over the Earth are decreasing dramatically. People have not known that their life is being threatened by destroying forests. Consequently, governments of countries around the world should enact a law about deforestation to protect forests all over the world.
Overpopulation is a growing problem all over the world. This is a very important environmental issue and needs to be dealt with. This environmental problem is affecting many countries around the world, but mostly the poor and impoverished countries that don’t have the resources to help deal with these issues. It also affects the environment like plants, animal life and air quality. When the population of people expands we need more natural resources from the environment, so we consume more than we can produce.
There are various systems in handling population rates and its various issues that connect with threatening our environment. The population and environment debate will forever be a back and forth problem because there is possibly no way to completely stop carbon emissions but ease its production. To help the environment, we must incorporate all potential solutions in governing population such as family planning and governmental involvement and practice renewable resources and stop on using nonrenewable resources, as well as ways to tackle overconsumption to support our corrupting environment.
Overpopulation can be seen as one of the key factors responsible for the state of our rapidly decaying earth. Developments in medicine, agriculture and technology have allowed for the human race to take over all other species and be excluded from the natural food chain. Humans, particularly westerners, lead lives of extreme consumption that take huge tolls not only on the earth but also on certain groups within society. A great division has developed between the western world and the third world.
1. What impact do natural resources have on economic growth? Will it be possible for a country with few natural resources to grow rapidly? Why or why not.
Many people assume that the environment is not in danger. They believe that as technology advances, we do not need to worry about renewing natural resources, recycling, and finding new ways to produce energy. They state that one person in the world does not make a large difference. In reality, each individual's contribution greatly affects our environment. Our natural resources are slowly disappearing, and we must work together to save them and the Earth from ruin.
