Loyalty is defined as “the quality of being loyal to someone or something”. It is interesting how so many different situations when scraped down raw all pretty much can stand for the same exact thing. When it comes down to it most people find themselves loyal to their favorite sports team the same way someone could be loyal to a best friend or significant other. Both end up with thinking you will always favor that person, team or object. But in this particular instance I am thinking of loyalty to a friend, and not just a brand new friend, a close friend whom I would always expect to be willing to be my friend despite what others would think. Being able to at least have one person I can always count on to actually be a friend is something …show more content…
Sadly loyalty is a rare thing, so when you find it you shouldn’t even hesitate to do anything you can to keep it. Loyalty is a privilege whether or not we are the ones giving or receiving it, it is a gift. I have a very good friend that I have know for a while now that I will be forever grateful to. I know that they will stay by my side through everything. I never have once questioned their loyalty friendship. She has always stuck up for me and included me when no one else would. One evening vividly remains in my mind from one or two years ago when I was at a party for my dance studio. The party was after a dance competition and my family had another commitment to go to so one of my other friends from dance, who I was not as close to, offered to give me a ride to the party if I went back to their house after the competition. I said yes and …show more content…
No matter how differently people explain their loyalty to someone or something, like I said in the beginning, no matter what who you are loyal to, be it a sports team or person when you come down to it they all mean the same thing. As somebody once said “loyalty is hard to find. Trust is easy to lose. Actions speak louder than words.” And in this situation I found out who I could trust and who I couldn’t. I found out who were my friends and who wasn’t. So from now on when you are trying to figure out who is and who isn’t your friends just be patient and watch for the opportunity for them to help you and stand by your
Loyalty between two things can help them gain a trust. However if one decides to abuse that trust, then the loyalty between the two things is broken.
Loyalty can be expressed in many ways whether it be by doing anything for someone else or just being very trustworthy person overall.
Then on January 18th we started texting about our issues. My friend had not been very nice lately, and she had changed since she was my buddy in crime in elementary school. So, we started texting about our issues. I was about to send the text, “Gtg”, and go downstairs for dinner, when she sent a text saying, “I don’t think we should be best friends anymore.” As soon as the text lit up on my phone screen, I started sobbing. I was heartbroken, destroyed, and most of all, disappointed. My best friend since 2nd grade had told me she didn’t want to be my best friend anymore, and ever since then, it really did feel like that. I was lucky if I ever felt that we were just acquaintances. This text devastated me. In most situation, if you make a friend in early elementary school, usually you’re friends and you stay friends forever, and get closer year by year. But, in my case, that fate did not happen. My best friend turned around on me and said she didn’t want to be my best friend anymore. So I realized that even though friends can promise things, you never know what will happen to a friendship five years in the future, but if friends are loyal to you, a friendship could last a

Loyalty is in a persons life whether they know it or not. A person can be loyal to family, friends, country, or even just ideas and beliefs. The list of loyalties vary depending on what you value. The female pilot challenges the traditional role women have in her country and Antigone challenges the power of the state to interfere with the traditions of her family and culture.

In a dog-eat-dog world where people clamor over another to get a competitive edge, is there truly any place for loyalty? Nowadays it seems as though ones loyalty is measured not on the interactions they have with other people but rather the amount of points they have accumulated on their Starbucks Gold membership cards. Celebrities all over the world have millions of fans, prepared to defend their every misdeed and praise their trivial triumphs, provided that these celebrities act in a certain manner and dress in a certain way. People are killed every day due to religious violence caused by fanatical loyalty to one set of beliefs, the murderers expecting to be let into heaven for their actions. Sports teams have adoring fan-bases who loyally
Why is it important to be loyal in today’s world? Being loyal is apart of our everyday lives, like it’s being loyal your family, friends or even a relationship.
A true friend sticks with their friend through thick and thin. All the characters that volunteered to go with Frodo became good friends, they bonded. When the orcs attacked in Moria they fought to keep Frodo and the ring safe. When Frodo got stabbed by the Black Rider’s sword, Sam never left his bedside. Sam acts like a true friend, even though Frodo was unconscious, Sam would wait there for him. When the hobbits got tired in the snow while climbing the mountain trying to keep up with the humans, the humans cared for them and carried them as much as they could. When the members of the fellowship had the chance to go their separate ways all of them wanted to stay and help Frodo and to make sure that he made it safely to Mordor to destroy the ring. “There was a silence. ‘They all resolved to go forward’ said Galadriel looking in their eyes.”(475) They risked their lives to protect Frodo in his time of danger.
Loyalty is defined as a strong feeling of support or allegiance. I agree fully with this definition. Being loyal is one of the most important of th...
In conclusion, this had been one of the epiphany’s that I experienced that changed my life for the better. Realizing my best friend was bad and influencing me to do bad things was not what I had wanted in a friendship. Like I said, the result of it almost came down to me getting sent away for doing what I was doing. A best friend will not only stick by you, but they will accept you no matter what you want in life. Never trust someone that tries to make you do harmful things. If a slight idea comes across that a best friend is being bogus, think it all through and find out before it goes way too far, and causes a negative impact on life.
I took a long, hard look at the people around me and figured out what their good attributes were and why they were significant in my life. When I figured out who they were as people and what they could give as a friend, versus what I needed as a friend, I made my decision. It wasn’t a decision that was said out loud or one that was publicized. I just directed my energy towards the people who needed my friendship in return for the friendship they had shown me. When I realized who was a true friend and who was not, it hurt. There was a lot of pain, knowing somebody didn’t care as much about me and my well=being as I had wanted them to. It wasn’t until later, that I realized they could still be in my life, just not as much involved it as they once
One of the most important details in a friendship is to never leave or forsake the other. A friend is also loyal, for example in the movie Lord of the Rings, Froto and Sam Wise had a wonderful fellowship. They lived in peace and in one accord. Also in the movie, gandalf sent froto on a mission. Froto was scared and he didn’t want to go on the journey by himself.
