Death of the dearly beloved Romeo and Juliet the two teens who were madly in love but died in such tragedy. The two teens wanted nothing but each other, however they couldn’t be together because of the horrible family feud that their families were in. But was it the cause of Romeo and Juliet death? Or was it the fault of the person that had married Romeo and Juliet? The person who was responsible between the deaths of the couple was the person who had married them Friar Laurence. Friar Laurence is the cause of the committed suicides of the teens because he married Romeo and Juliet knowing that is was against the rules, Romeo told the friar that he was in love with Juliet and he didn’t try to stop him, last he gave Juliet the potion to put her to sleep so she wouldn’t have to marry Paris. The potion was used to help her to get out of marrying Paris and stayed married to Romeo. Juliet didn’t want to marry Paris because she didn’t love him she loved Romeo and was already married to him. “and this distilling liquor drink thou off; when presently through all thy veins shall run a cold and drowsy humor; for no pulse no warmth, no breath, shall testify thou livest: the roses in thy lips and cheeks shall fade to wanny ashes thy eyes windows fall like death when he shuts up the day of life; each part deprived of supple government” (5.1.94-100) It was his fault instead of telling someone that Juliet was going to commit suicide or that she was marrying Juliet he ended up getting caught in his problems. This information proves that Friar Laurence is the blame for the death of the dearly beloved of Romeo and Juliet. He didn’t tell anyone what he has done because he was trying to protect himself from dying. He should have told someone that the two kids wanted to get married instead of keeping it a secret which had lead into a disaster just as he
is written in the stars, so they are fated to fall in love and stop
Who is the most to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet? There are many opinions on who is to blame for the deaths of these "star crossed lovers." One of these opinions is that both Romeo and Juliet are equally to blame for their own deaths. Romeo nor Juliet knew how to resolve their own problems and went directly to Friar Lawrence. Whenever Romeo and Juliet failed to resolve their problem, their resolution was suicide. Romeo and Juliet also withheld the love affair between them, from their families.
Romeo and Juliet are partially responsible for their own deaths. Their suicides are not out of character, as their expressions of love were often irrational even before they killed themselves. As Juliet says in Act III, Scene ii, "Give me my Romeo, and, when I shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars, and he will make the face of heaven so fine that
“For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo.” Romeo and Juliet were in love and the Friar decided to marry them, but after they were married, they would never be able to live a long and happy life with each other. Though the Friar was a father to Romeo he should not have given Juliet the potion and he should have just taken Juliet away at night so she and Romeo can be together again. Friar Laurence is the one to be blamed for every tragic that has happened.
Friar Laurence, through his lack of good judgment, is largely responsible for the deaths of both Romeo and Juliet. Rather than being supportive of them and helping them disclose their loving situation, Friar Laurence took the “easy” way out. He succumbed to their desire to elope. He secretly married Romeo and Juliet instead of standing behind them and encouraging them to confront their families with the facts about their commitment to and love for each other. As a result, an even stronger bond between them was created through marriage: "For, by your leaves, you shall not stay alone / Till holy church incorporate two in one" (2.6.36-37). Friar Laurence married Romeo and Juliet, hoping that their union would bring an end to the constant feuding between their two families, the Montagues and the Capulets. Though the friar’s intentions were good and above reproach, they were certainly missteps along a pathway to tragedy. None of the tragedies would have occurred if Romeo and Juliet were not married. When Tybalt challenged Romeo...
Throughout time, there have been many tragedies caused by romance. For example, the play Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, is known for its romantic tragedy between two star-crossed lovers. With all the deaths, who is truly to blame for Romeo and Juliet's deaths? Friar Laurence is most to blame for many obvious, yet overlooked, reasons. The forbidden wedding of Romeo and Juliet could not have happened without the Friar.
There is a multitude of characters that are to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s tragic deaths. The domino effect plot twists end with fingers pointed at both the Capulets and the Montagues along with a few supporting characters displayed as culprits. However, the one that should be found most guilty is the supposed “friendly” Friar Laurence. He was the young lover’s advisor, the master planner, he secretly wed them, and took responsibility in the finale.
Friar Laurence’s involvement in the marriage of Romeo and Juliet has caused a tragedy. Romeo and Juliet thought that they fell in love, but the Friar should have known that they were just kids and they were really rushing into things. In Romeo and Juliet, Friar Laurence says, “These violent delights have violent ends. Is loathsome in his own deliciousness, and in the taste confounds the appetite: Therefore love moderately: long love doth so, too swift arrives as tardy as too slow.” When he says this, he is giving Romeo a warnin. Also, Friar Lawrence should have known at the time, that Romeo was loving with his eyes and not with his heart. For example, Romeo was in a relationship with Rosaline, before marrying Julliet. Inonclusion , the Friar did not have the expierence to know that they were kids.
Unfortunately, their love comes to an end, along with their lives, because of a misunderstanding and a persistent feud between their families. Although there are many characters in this play that have contributed to Romeo and Juliet’s death, Friar Laurence is the person most to blame. Friar Laurence’s actions throughout the play resulted in the two star crossed lovers’ death. He assisted the two when they wanted to get married, which began the disastrous events in the play. Friar Laurence says to Romeo:
The subject of death is one of the most prominent elements found in both modern and traditional literatures, and it often plays a significant role in the development of the plot. Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is no exception to this norm. In this play, a pair of star-crossed lovers finds themselves married despite an ancient family feud. As the play proceeds as a story of love, the reader quickly realizes through Shakespeare’s subtle usages of foreshadowing and dialogue that death is inevitable for the two young lovers. In a later film interpretation of the play, director Franco Zeffirelli also tries to capture the inevitability of Romeo and Juliet’s death by using sounds. Since the film version of Romeo and Juliet effectively portray
I do not think Romeo and Juliet are close to their parents, nor do I think their parents know them very well. At the beginning of the play, when Romeo is moping over Rosaline, his father is worried about him but he actually does nothing about it. Juliet's parents are nasty to her, especially her father, who is particularly horrible when she says she wants to marry for love. He tells her that he has lined up a suitable husband, meaning a wealthy one, and that is that. If she doesn't marry Paris (that's his name) she will be thrown out of the house, to fend for herself.
In conclusion, Romeo and Juliet were ultimately to blame for their own deaths. Several other people could be blamed. It could have been the nurse and Friar or fate and the family feud. A lot of different things could have prevented their deaths, but if you go back to the root of the problem, it was Romeo and Juliet who is too blame. The two lovers committed suicide by
...er. We’ll to church tomorrow” (4.2.37). This is unfair to Juliet because it is not what she wanted, and if he had not been so sharp in his decision-making, she would not have had to drink the potion. If only he had left the wedding alone and attempted to cheer up his daughter himself.
hear that they loved each other and wanted to get married. The reasons were Montague and Capulet family didn’t get along. Second reason was romeo and juliet should have told their parents maybe they would of helped and finished the feud. Third reason Juliet's parents wanted her to marry paris which she didn’t truly love.
Romeo is one of the people that cause Romeo and Juliet's death. Romeo makes choices that cause his own death as well as juliets. "I have a night's cloak to hide to hide me from their eyes. As long as you love me, let them find me here. My life is better ended by their hate than death postponed if I should lack your love," said Romeo (13). If they can't live together they
