Leadership is the ability to influence employees to voluntarily pursue organizational goals. Leadership is vision, enthusiasm, love, trust, passion and consistency. Management is to pursue organizational goals efficiently and effectively by integrating the work of people through planning, organizing, leading, and controlling organizations resources. Tasked by the ACF, our team of disaster case managers and responders are on the scene within 72 hours of its start. From there, ACF Immediate Disaster Case Management (ACF IDCM) starts meeting with those suffering from the disaster to fully access what is needed for a proper recovery. While tasked by the ACF, the IDCM program is completely self-sufficient while receiving support from BCFS EMD’s Incident Management Team. Through BCFS’ support, the program is provided complete operations, logistics and planning support to meet its

Containment is the most important role to be played in an incident respond. These are the practice of the strategies which gets followed when there is an attack like Distributed Denial of Service Attacks ("Uf it security," 2011). In our Lockheed Martin company, we prepare ourselves for any circumstances so our employees can act upon the situation. Instead of wasting time in what needs to be done now we prepare ourselves for future attacks. The way containment process needs to be followed is to first determine which part of the system contains malware viruses and detecting this issue would be the first task in incident response strategy. The time when that one system is detected then our company will be isolating that specific system to limit
Although this support is mainly conducted at the strategic and operational levels, it can be conducted in all operational environments (FM 3-05.132). Although specific situations may require the teams to operate in higher levels of protection, they are designed and trained to function without interruption. While conducting CBRN reconnaissance the elements must also be aware of the security aspect. If they don’t have the capability to provide their own, they must ensure that they coordinate with their supporting force, if available. The CRD will then be asked to conduct CBRN Survey operations. They will be required to conduct missions that will determine the nature, scope, and the extent of the hazard (Redesign Concept). The CRDs primary use of this task is to acquire more information during sensitive site exploitation
When I was in the navy one of my chiefs liked to say, “Communication is the key to success!” I think this applies to many things in life, but it also has a lot to do with the successful implementation of the National Incident Management System/Incident Command System also known as NIMS/ICS. The reasons why good communication is so important in an incident that uses NIMS/ICS is that without it there is no coordination between anyone and the Incident Commander also known as the IC. And if the IC does not get the information he/she needs to properly place resources he/she has it makes an incident that is already bad to worse. The use of proper communication is crucial in an incident. There are many moving parts to NIMS/ICS that requires a lot
This discussion will focus on leadership as described by Robert Dees in The Resilience Trilogy, Resilient Leaders text. The points made in the book can be personally related. The three most important concepts learned from chapter 1 and 2 are tribulation, risk management, and selflessness. It is crucial for anyone is seeking to delve into leadership that everything will not happen as planned all the time. After a leader experience failure, knowing the avenues to take to regain a solid footing is also key to successful leadership. Often leaders who are unaware of available resources fold and give up. In the military profession, when someone gets knock down they get up brush themselves off and get back in the fight.
Threats from catastrophic natural and manmade disasters during the 21st century have unfortunately become a reoccurring reality among communities in the United States. Managing the various stages of any disaster requires responding entities to become familiar with each other’s roles and capabilities to facilitate successful interfacing and cooperation. Physical and web based emergency operations centers (WebEOCs), emergency response entities, and private and non-profit organizations are essential providers of operational emergency management information, all-hazardous intelligence, and other subject matter expertise. To ensure effective coordination takes place, emergency management leaders at all levels

Information technology relates contingency planning as synchronized strategy that involves tactics, processes and practical measures that ensure the retrieve of data after disturbance, information technology schemes and operation. Contingency planning comprises one or more methods to reinstate disrupted information technology facilities. Information technology (IT) and automated information systems are essential basics in most healthcare processes. The services provided by information technology system operates efficiently without extreme interruption. Contingency planning supports the necessary requirement by creating strategies, processes and practical measures enabling a system recover rapidly and efficiently following a service disaster. Temporary measures comprise the transfer of information technology systems and operations to a different site, the retrieval of Information technology functions using different equipment and the presentation of Information technology functions using physical methods (Moriarty, 2008).
