Information system is software that helps you sort out and examine data. Information system can make it possible to answer questions and solve any problems that are related to the organization. There are a lot of organizations that works with big amounts of data. They are essential values or facts and they are prepared in a database. Information system turns unprocessed data into information’s that are useful for decision-making in an organization. There are some common typed of information systems. Database management system is one of the common types of information system. It is a mixture of software and data that makes it possible to sort out and examine data. A transaction processing system is a type of information system that is meant for business transaction that compiles, changes, and recovers all transaction data of an enterprise. Transaction processing system has a fast response. It has a fast performance by means of fast result. Transaction processing system is very reliable since backup is designed greatly and it also has a low rate of failure. Transaction processing system treats all transactions equally since it is used daily, it has to be exact and rigid. It is also a controlled access, which means it only particular employees can manipulate the transaction process. Transactions that are made by the system have to go through a test called ACID test in order to get qualified by the transaction processing system. ACID stands for atomicity, consistency, isolation and durability. The test makes sure that TPS systems perform their transactions in a systematic, standardized and dependable method. There are two types of transaction processing, which are batch processing and real time processing. Batch processing collects information and stores them but the information is not processed right away. For example, the processing of an invoice in a banking system and real time processing is a transaction that is processed right away and the operator has the right of entry to online
