Dale Earnhardt Sr. Dale Earnhardt Sr. was born in Kannapolis, North Carolina on April 29, 1951. Dale was raised by Ralph and Martha Earnhardt. He grew up around dirt track racing. Dale always went with his dad, Ralph Earnhardt, to the small dirt tracks. Ralph Earnhardt never was as famous as his son Dale, but was known for his very clean driving style. Dale Earnhardt quit school in ninth grade to race and to work as a mechanic. Dale started dirt track racing at the age of 15. Early in Dale’s career he was nicknamed Ironhead and the Intimidator for his unique driving style, which was very aggressive and had a never say quit driving attitude. Jarrod J. Rein is an eighteen-year-old with dark brown hair and brown eyes to match the brown arid dirt of Piedmont, Oklahoma. His skin is a smooth warm tan glow that opposes his white smile making his teeth look like snow. Standing a great height of six foot exactly, his structure resembles a bear. He is attending Piedmont high school where he in his last year of high school (senior year). He is studying to be a forensics anthropologist. Also he is studying early in the field of anatomy to be successful in his profession. While not always on the rise for knowledge Jarrod’s swimming for his high school. Ricky Carmichael was born on November 27, 1979. He was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. His parents, Rick and Jeannie Carmichael, took very good care of their boy. (www.sports.jrank.org) At the age of five, Carmichael got his first dirt bike as a Valentines present from his parents. His first dirt bike was a Yamaha Tri-zinger. When he got his bike he was bound and determined to race and cross the finish line in first place. Ricky was brave and fast and that is just what he did.
Dale Earnhardt grew up in Kannapolis, North Carolina, a textile mill town. His father, Ralph Earnhardt, was known as "Iron heart" on the short-track racing circuit, and he taught Dale how to drive stock cars and work with engines. His father had converted a barn behind the family home into a garage, and he was well known for his skill with engines. Earnhardt's earliest memory is of watching his father race. Dale dropped out of high school after the eighth grade because he tried ninth grade twice and just couldn't do it. After he dropped out, Dale worked odd jobs, drove dirt tracks, and also argued with his father, which wanted him to complete high school. Dale became most famous with his black Monte Carlo with a dominate # 3 in white on it, but his first dirt track car was a 1956 hot-pink ford Sedan, which his neighbors gave to him, David and Ray Oliver. His father Ralph had built the engine, and some other friends, Frank and Wayne Dayvault and their cousin Gregg, tuned it. They intended to paint the car avocado green, but a paint mishap resulted in the car being pink. They could not afford to repaint it, and Dale raced the pink car on dirt tracks around Charlotte, North Carolina. Dale married for the first time at 17, and at age 18 had a son, Kerry. Dale divorced his first wife at 19 and married a second time to Brenda. This marriage would last five years before he divorced again. Dale had two children with his second wife, a daughter, Kelley, and a son, Dale Jr., who would both followed him into racing. On June 26th 1974, in Pequannock, New Jersey, Derek Sanderson Jeter was born. His parents were Charles Jeter and Dorothy Connors. His parents had a rare relationship for their time. Charles was african american and Dorothy was white. In the 1960s marriage of separate races was frowned upon but they loved each other and made it work. When Derek was still a small child, Charles moved the family to Kalamazoo, Michigan. This is where practically Dereks whole childhood took place.
Kasey Reuter is mostly known for being an outstanding Mizzou College Volleyball player. She is a freshman at Mizzou and plans to major in physical therapy (PT). She is 6”1, brunette, plays outside hitter (OH), and is number fifteen . Kasey qualified for Nationals by winning the Show-Me Qualifier, the first-ever qualifier title in club history. She is not just an amazing volleyball player, she was also an elite participant for the track & field team at Hinton (her old high school in Iowa). She was the state High Jump Champion in 2013 and took second in place in the long jump in 2011 and third place in 2010. Also she ran as part of the 4x100m relay that took fourth in the state in 2011, finished as the runner-up in the high jump at the Drake Relays, and was the Junior Olympics high jump runner-up in 2009.
One person in history I would like to have a conversation with is Jamie Lloyd Whitten. This summer I had my mind set on finding more information on my family history. While asking family members and researching on Ancestry, I came across Mr. Whitten. With a simple name search all kinds of articles came up about him. He served in the House for fifty-three years for the state of Mississippi. This is the fifth longest term served in the House in United States history. Whitten has also experienced many different time periods during his life. Between the ages of four and eight he lived through World War One. His father left before Jackie was born, and he didn’t remember one thing about him. Jackie had many siblings, brothers and sisters. Her father, John Rankin was a victorious rancher and lumber businessman. He passed away in 1904, shortly after Jeannette graduated from University of Montana in 1902. Many people have various definitions of what a hero is, and who they can be. Many times when thinking of a hero, you may think of a fictional one, such as Superman or Spider-man. When I think of a hero, I think of someone who has made an extraordinary impact on the world, something that perfectly describes Terry Fox. Terry Fox is a heroic figure whose legacy shall never be forgotten. Terry was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma when he was only 18, and had to have his leg amputated, which caused him to decide to make a difference in the world. Terry would run almost 42 kilometers each day, in hopes of running all across Canada in a marathon he named the Marathon of Hope. His mission was to raise as much money as he could for cancer research

Richard Joseph Daley, the grandson of Irish immigrants, was born in the Bridgeport area of Chicago on May 15, 1902. He was graduated from De La Salle Institute in 1918 and worked in the stockyards for several years before studying law. While studying, he worked as a clerk in the Cook County Controller's office. In 1936 Daley married Eleanor Guilfoyle, and the couple had three daughters and four sons. One son, Richard M. Daley, served in the Illinois Senate and as Cook County state's attorney before being elected mayor of Chicago in 1989.
Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. His parents, Elias and Flora Disney, gave him the name Walter Elias Disney. Walt was one of 5 children, four boys and one girl. In 1906, his family packed up and moved to a farm in Marceline, Missouri. By this time, Walt discovered that he was very interested in art and drawing. “More things of importance happened to me in Marceline than have happened since – or are likely to in the future.” (Disney, 7) Later on, the Disney family had to move to Kansas City because Walt's father, Elias, could no longer take care of his farm when he became very ill. Elias owned a newspaper company to make money for his family and had Walt and Roy, one of his other sons deliver the papers. In 1910, Walt's family once again packed up and moved to Chicago. Walter did not want to move with his family because he wanted to finish school, so he stayed behind and worked for his brother Herb through the summer. In fall, he moved back with his family and enrolled at McKinley High School. Walt did have an interest in his classes, but found a love for drawing cartoons which were featured in his school's newspaper.
