The Person I Most Admire
Dale Earnhardt Jr. was born on October 10, 1974 in Kannapolis, North Carolina. His full name is Ralph Dale Earnhardt Jr. Dale is a third generation driver who is also forever connected to the sport of car racing. Dale also has a brother Kerry who helped him start racing. The only thing he has that is different is his competitive driving style and his keen business sense. He is a professional race car driver also know better as NASCAR driver.
When Dale’s parents had divorced he lived with his mom for a short time. Dale and his sister were then forced to move in with their father, since there mother could not support them. He has been selected by his fans 12 times as the most popular driver in NASCAR. Dale has been in the chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup seven times total in his career. He follow his legendary father Dale Earnhardt Sr., is considered a seven time Cup champion and had won 76 races for a complete total. In 1999 his grandfather and father were selected to be NASCAR’s 50 greatest drivers of all time.
The three Earnhardt’s have created a great impact on the NASCAR’s history. His father forced him work his way up into becoming a driver he was not just handed a car and told, “Have fun”. He had to perform his way up in building himself a team and building his race car. When he graduated from high school he then attended college for a two year automotive degree. He was now followed everywhere with his father’s death, from his father’s wreck Jr. had become a better racer and became smarter about running his car. After the wreck then he was involved in one very similar a week later luckily he was not hurt at all. He really started to become a very successful driver he had definitely fulfilled his father footsteps on the track. His fans were all proud of him and really appreciated how popular of a race car driver he had become.
Earnhardt is still involved in racing; he still drives the number 88 car. He lives on a property called the Dirty MO Acres, which includes a western style town, and five miles of ATV trails. He won the 2014 Daytona 500 race and had 23 victories. As his role of being a team owner and a business man he keeps them completely separate from his racing career.
