The new adoption of a 10 P.M. weekday curfew and a midnight weekend curfew for teenagers is good idea. It will keep a lot of teenagers out of trouble. If this law is adopted and police officers see teenagers out driving past the appropriate curfew times, then the teenager will have broken the law. From there they will receive a ticket. Once teenagers get their license, they tend to think that they can do whatever they feel like doing because they have a little bit of freedom now. This law will help prevent that. Teenagers enjoy going to parties and staying out late, with this new law a lot of that will be stopped. Once someone gets pulled over for breaking their curfew, they will probably never do it again. Most people will go back and tell their friends, then hopefully that will make their friends realize that this law is real, and they …show more content…
So, just by one person being caught hopefully others around them will grow up and start taking responsibility for themselves. This new curfew will be a big help to those parents that set curfews for their children. Many parents have problems with getting their children to obey the curfew time they have set for them. With the help of this law all teenagers in the communities that this law has been appointed, have no choice but to obey the times. Most young people with their license will realize that they can not afford to receive a ticket and have that ticket go on their record. Once that ticket is on your record there is always a good chance that the ticket could affect the chances of you getting a good job. Teens like to be lazy and wait till the last minute to get things done. Like, waiting till the last minute to do all your homework. Not studying for test. This law could make some teenagers better students, because they will have more time on their hands. Most teens don't like to help out around the house, by doing their chores and just helping their parents out, so they can come home and relax after a
Ben Hogan, a famous golfer, once said, “ the only thing a golfer needs is more daylight”. Daylight saving time not only impacts the world’s golf games, it also affects the economy, outdoor activities and comes with many health concerns.Daylight saving time(also know as DST) was used as a way to save energy and have more natural light in the summertime, but it was as affected and it also came with many consequences to the countries and states that still use this time. It was first used in the USA in 1918 and has been on and off for many years , but now DST is used seven months out of the year. There are two times during the year we change the clocks. The first Sunday in March, we “spring forward” with the clocks and the second Sunday in November we “fall back” one hour. However, daylight-saving time should be abolished from the rest of the world that uses this time throughout the year.
As shown above, curfew laws can play a very critical role in a teenager’s life. It can assist with keeping the city safer, help them get enough sleep, and help them build their personal skill under a well-structured system routine. A lot of people might find curfew laws for teenagers unconstitutional and contradict the first amendment, so they decide not to abide with it. But by doing so, they are placing more a bigger experience to teenagers who are still working on developing their skills to take on new challenges. After all, Teenagers are the future of our society if we don’t teach, coach, direct, and offer guidance their future will be unstable and unproductive and that will affect the entire nation.
... the sociality go bad and worse than before because of the young adults which don’t have a lot of experiences in actions they do. The Law should avoid at age 18 to 20 because of the unsafe activity alcohol can drink to people which drink and get drunk from it for their lack of knowledge in alcohol and fail to control themselves. Alcohol is a dangerous drink for the person and to the others when abused which young adults at age 18 probably will do if the Law would be changed to 18. Ultimately, the Drinking Age should stay at 21 so that young adults can gain more experiences and matures which they can handle alcohol and themselves when they are 21 and by doing that, it will save a lot of lives and also make the country more safety for people and better behavior in every person.
“Only the government would believe you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket, sew it to the bottom, and have a longer blanket.” This unknown quote from Under the Cover of Darkness: How Ambient Light Influences Criminal Activity illustrates the absurdity of daylight saving time (DST). DST is the changing of clocks twice a year to increase sunlight in the evening, ostensibly for several reasons. Energy savings are the most frequently cited reason; however, this argument dating back to Ben Franklin has been proven false. Additional reasons DST proponents cite include lower health problems, lower accident rates and lower crime rates.
Every living person deserves to move freely, according to the human rights concept. When you are the citizen of a country and within its territory, the right to travel from one place to another is one of your inalienable rights. This does not mean you cannot visit another country. After fulfilling the documentation requirements at the embassy of a country, you are allowed to visit it and return back to your country. In simple terms, every living person has a right to freedom of movement.
A tall pigtailed blonde with a school girl outfit was biting her nails as she watched yet another talk show talking about the violence that has forced the public to have a curfew.
Forty one percent is quite a large number. This curfew can't stop arrests but it will teach many teenagers how to respect athority. It seems many teenager's parents don't care either. However this curfew will make it so if the son/daughter of the parents is contacting and being told that their teenager is in jail or comes home with a fine. Parents will also start cracking down.
Curfews are here to stop teenagers from roaming the streets at night and causing trouble. In consideration of having a curfew for teenagers, the crime rate has greatly decreased. Many tests and studies have confirmed that curfews do keep teenagers out of trouble. Curfews have helped keep many of the streets safe and free of crime in various cities around the world, even cities in Michigan.
As an old saying goes “parenting does not come with a guide book”. Most parents fear and will agree that adolescence is the age when the kids are the most difficult to handle. It is the age in which the child is experiencing a transitional stage. The child is experiencing physical changes and psychological human development that brings a desire to try to connect to the world. It is the age when the child starts to become more independent and starts to think he/she knows it all, and that is when problems arise. In this report I will analyze the positive and negative impact of curfews on teens. I will make a comparison and draw a conclusion to answer the question if curfews help to keep teens out trouble.
Now a days students don't get home from after school activities till late at night. Most of the time they never have time to do homework that teachers pile on them. There has been talk about expanding the school day; by making it a four day school day, but adding two hours to the day. Here's why you shouldn't expand the school day.
Curfews rules are often used by police to stop and interrogate juveniles (Berg). This is showing us that most of the time the police have no reason to search or interrogate them which is making it unreasonable search and seizure. The youths will be brought in by police (Wenger and King). This is showing how much freedom teens will have, even if they just run to the store past 10 p.m. they will be brought in. This is showing police going against the constitution which is illegal and
Curfew is the time at which you should be back home and safe. Most High Schooler’s will argue that “it’s stupid” and “I won’t get in trouble anyways”. Curfew for High Schooler’s and younger children is an excellent idea because it keeps students in line and out of possible trouble. If curfew was enforced it would eventually help kids be more responsible and trust worthy. Although some might think otherwise, High Schooler's are irresponsible and can not be trusted enough to not have a curfew.
Should teenagers be restricted to a curfew? That's a question many parents question themselves. What is my son up? What is my daughter doing? How do I know if they're safe? What time will he/she be home? When following curfews, teens tend to stay out of trouble more because criminal activity or high-risk behaviors is more likely to occur later in the evening when parental supervision is not present. Therefore teenagers need have a curfew, imposing curfews would help keep young teens out of trouble legally, set strict boundaries, and provides safety.
