In some countries, there are several strict laws released to force children to stay at home during a limit time frame. In the United States, curfew laws “are local ordinances that prohibit people of a certain age (usually under 18) from being in public or in a business establishment during certain hours (such as between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.)” (Juvenile Curfew Laws – The Basics). Curfews are the reason for the hindrance of teenager maturity. Since the children have to go to school and spend almost their time of a day in there, they should have things to do after that. When the family put the kids under a strict curfew, they are expected to observe things without questions and don’t have brave enough to experience things in life. This type of imposition can restrict teens from asserting themselves, communicating or negotiating with parents to learn how to deal with what they could face in the real world. Moreover, if a teenager was raised under curfew for a long time, he or she might find it difficult to adopt new things or get shocked sometimes. To be honest, teenagers should know how to govern themselves on the way to their adulthood. One of the disadvantages of curfews is that they may get teens feel stressed and tired being if they cannot let their hair down by the way they want after working hard in school. Teens could get depressed quickly being home all the time when their social freedom is limited. Parents seem to put their kids under pressure if their friends were participating in something that they could not join due to the curfews. During the growing up process, teenagers should follow some rules that form their character to be in good shape and when they are mature enough, they will realize how important it is to them. Even though teenagers have to deal with some problems causing by curfews, there are a lot of solutions to make the issues become less effective and disappear. For example, if teens want to go to a party with their friends, they should try to talk with parents to make an exception and they could provide the venue and time so that parents still know how to find them if they need help. Parents used to be in this process so they will understand how teens feel and all they want is just get their children safe. Furthermore, if teens want to get out at late night when an emergency coming up, they had better ask help from their parents, they are always ready to take you everywhere if your reason is clear to
