When I was six-years-old, I started to help my parents make dinner, as in stirring the pot or suggest spices to go into the food. It was fun to do as a kid, but I have not grown out of cooking, the skill has only grown with me. Helping with dinner turned into me making meals for myself or for my family when my parents are working late or are sick. I love doing it, but I do not think too much about it. When I was eleven-years-old, I started to watch Cupcake Wars™. I would make suggestions on techniques they could have done differently. One day someone told me to stop making suggestions if I did not tried it myself, then I made a cake from a box and added my own twist to it. Cake decorators will bake and prepare icing and other decorations. Cake decorators will need to work with many tools and equipment in the kitchen. A cake decorator will take orders from customers on what flavor and decoration that will go on the cake. Most of the time cake decorators will work with non-edible products to create a display. Some bakeries will keep it around the same salary even if the cake decorator has many years of experience. (PayScale). I am hoping to love Cake decorating enough to make it to a bigger salary than just starting Cake decorating. Making $9.11 - $15.69 per hour does not have many people rushing to be cake decorators. The job growth might not be tremendous, but if I obtain enough experience, I will acquire many opportunities. Cake decorating is a branch of baking and is normally not seen as any different.
