Drawing conclusions: After conducting this survey, it seemed that the hypothesis was proved correct; interpreting the results supported the conclusion that females are more negatively affected by their procrastination habits. All females care to some degree about procrastination and believe that it is a negative habit. In fact, most females stated that they become stressed out right before a deadline. On the contrary, most males stated that they sometimes if not rarely become stressed before a deadline. There were 10 males and 10 females surveyed. The survey results showed that most, if not all, students procrastinate and 16 out of 20 students said that procrastination is a negative habit. It seems that many students do in fact procrastinate and that it negatively affects some. Procrastination is usually due to poor time management skills. That being said, poor time management affects many aspects of life and therefore, students may be having difficulty in the personal lives also due to poor time management. From the survey results, it appeared that females care more about their studies and habits than males do. This can be problematic eventually because going through life and university, you are forced to give value to academics and time and therefore, students need to be taught from now to care more. Most females said that they feel upset if they procrastinate. This can be because their psyche and mind are not at rest during procrastination. Their minds stay on their obligations and their delay even when physically, they are occupied. They become preoccupied occasionally until they complete whatever they are procrastinating. The same can be said for males although 8 out of 10 males said that they do not feel upset. This may mean that many of them do not give value to their obligations or time as they do not care if they procrastinated and therefore do not feel upset or at all …show more content…

Most questions were directed towards the students’ procrastination habits and their feelings towards it. A question that may have seemed ineffective would be the question asking about whether students procrastinate all the time or due to personal life events. While the question is related to procrastination, it does not exactly determine that females are directly negatively affected by procrastination. The survey results would not have changed drastically with or without that question. A question that could have been asked was whether students feel stressed when they procrastinate. That question would have gotten to the heart of the matter directly and with results from such question, the hypothesis can easily be proven. A similar question that was asked was whether students feel stressed right before a deadline. That could have been due to many reasons such as forgetting deadlines and remembering a few days before. Realizing they do not have much time does a toll on them. Another question that could have been asked was provided the opportunity, would students choose to work ahead of time rather than procrastinate? This question is of relevance because some students may procrastinate because they enjoy the thrill and adrenaline of doing things last minute. Sometimes, many people may do things that harm them for the thrill of it. That way, it is important to determine whether students are
