Crime and Media Criminological Case Study: The Guardians target audience which is a broadsheet newspaper, is people who like more important news about the world & politics. The guardian only has one main image and several articles on the front cover. This attracts a more intellectual audience who would be more interested in what the text says than the image. The sort of people who secured their livelihood comfortably in the British middle class and then decide to make astute value judgement upon the very system. The Guardian does not any particular political allegiance but is left of centre, both liberal labour and Liberal Democracts. The journalist Jon Bronson is well respected and well known journalist, author, screenwriter and documentary filmmaker. Jon Bronson is known for various articles, books and documentaries on television. He is mostly known for publishing the book ‘The Men Who Stare At Goats’ and ‘ The Psychopath Test: A Journey Through the Madness Industry’. Once the person... ... middle of paper ... ...s around and show that the power of the state is still in control to bring ‘justice’. I think readers for this article makes readers more concerned then angry because this article shows the meaning between the difference of the powerful against the non-powerful and it also shows that because a crime has been committed against government, that they make it seem like the law doesn’t apply to the US government because they have more power and work for the state who make the laws. This article is realistic to the subject of the power of the state when it comes crime, how the laws and rights of an individual is mistreated and not taken into consideration and seen as crime because of showing the weakness and embarrassment of a government rather than it be seen as an advantage for the US government to use someone like Gary to help with their computer databases protection.
