Crime Investigation Assignment

INVESTIGATION:

On 11-23-2016, I was notified at approximately 0103 hours by Cpl. Raschke of a traffic homicide investigation on Brandon Parkway, south of Pauls Drive. The traffic crash occurred at 0020 hours. I responded to the scene and upon my arrival at approximately 0150 hours, I reviewed the crash scene with Detective Parsons # 226877, who forensically mapped the scene and took digital photographs of the crash scene. I also met with Deputy Shaw # 249584, who completed the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle Traffic Crash Report (86563826). I learned from Detective Parsons that Ivan Ordonez, the passenger in the 2003 Nissan 350Z, had died as a result of his injuries. Ordonez was still in the front passenger seat of the

I received a copy of the 911 calls from the HCSO Communications Center. The calls revealed two (2) additional witnesses.

At approximately 1350 hours, I served the search warrant on the 2003 Nissan 350Z, which was located within the HCSO Crime Scene Section at 2416 N. Falkenburg Road. After reading the search warrant, a copy of the search warrant was left inside the vehicle.

Recovered from the Nissan during execution of the search warrant, was a set of Nissan keys with a key fob remote with a carabiner hook from the passenger side roof. A set of Acura keys was found on the front passenger floorboard. The Acura keys were identified by Jade Rivera, as the keys belonging to Ivan Ordonez. A gray and orange size 12 “right” gym shoe was located wedged in the right front floorboard. There was also a pair of brown in color size 13 “OP” brand sandals located on the driver side floorboard.
