“The scariest moment is always just before you start.” This quote is one of the most well known sayings from the famous creative writer, Stephen King. American history has been filled with hundreds of great and influential authors, starting from the creators of the first books in Ancient Rome to the stack of books in public libraries around the world. Throughout all of the famous and inspirational authors, Stephen King holds a spot in the modern world of literature. King has inspired thousands with his words and determination to carry on. This continued until his first novel “Carrie” was officially published and he no longer needed the job. The couple had one daughter in 1970, Naomi Rachel King. Then later in 1972 the couple welcomed their first son, they named him Joe Hillstrom King. Stephen King decided that it was appropriate to become a full time writer and quit teaching to follow his real goals. He continued his writing career and published two new books before his second child Owen Phillip King was born in 1977. All three of the authors children would tell their father stories every night, instead of being told stories, in an attempt to increase their creativity and English. Once the children aged to a point of being able to fluently read and speak well, Stephen would have them narrate sections or full audiobooks of his stories on tape. The kids would also partake in intellectual debates and discussions about books and novels they had read. To this day his daughter admits that she has not fully read any of his books. King tried to bring attention to Smith’s extensively bad driving record by claiming it was scarier than a character in one of his books. One half of Maine felt there needed to be a larger punishment, or that the police work was not done according to proper procedures. The other half thought that the media was giving King special treatment because he was considered a celebrity. After some further unraveling of the case many citizens noticed that the reporting police officer was a friend of Smiths and did not follow his instructions for the accident. Years had passed before the situation died down and seemed to be over, that is until Bryan Smith died on Stephen King’s 53rd birthday from an overdose. When the news of his death reached King, he seemed to be sorry for his death and publicly spoke about how he is keeping Smith’s family in mind and mourns for their loss
