I was kneeling on the ground, barely breathing. I felt the venom coursing through my veins. I tried my best to stand, but my legs were weak. I could almost stand. "Still have the strength to stand, do you?" Cobra said. "Isolda, don't do this!" Natsu called. "Stay down! Your condition's bad enough!" "You're one to talk. At least I can stand." I laughed weakly. The smile was wiped from my face slowly as I uttered the words, "I'm sorry. But I can't sit here and watch him kill you." Cobra began to prepare another blow, that would surely be the death of me. I stood a little taller, and cracked a smile. If I was gonna die, I knew I had to accept it. The attack seemed to hit me full-on, but I didn't feel anything. I reached up to touch my face. …show more content…
That was when I realized. That Cobra's attack hadn't hit me. It hit Natsu. "Why the hell would you do that, Natsu?!" I screamed. That was the one thing I wasn't ready for. I was fully prepared to sacrifice myself for Natsu's safety. I wasn't expecting him to do that exact thing for me. The tears that were streaming down my face began to turn to steam. "You...you're gonna pay." "Aw, what's wrong?" Cobra said teasingly, stroking Kobelios. "Isn't this what you wanted, Ice Maiden?" I began to shake violently as I yelled, holding Natsu's lifeless body in my arms. "Don't call me by that name, God damn it." "You act like it's my fault that he's dead." My face began to cool down. "Shut the hell up!" I yelled as I stood up, gently lying Natsu's body on the ground. As my face began to return to its normal temperature, another tear slipped down my cheek. I gave a sigh and shakily said, "I'm...I'm all...fired up." "Are you seriously going to fight with a wound like that one?" He gestured toward the snake bite. "Are you sure you want to put yourself through such...pain?" I laughed and clutched my tattered and torn
This paper will discuss and compare A Faun Teased by Children sculpture, of the Italian Baroque style, and the Little Fourteen Year Old Dancer of the French impressionist style. These two sculptures give us a clear insight and allows us to peer in on the moment that is taking place. The active movement, strong diagonals and dramatic facial expressions of the figures in A Faun Teased by Children tells the on looker a vivid detailed story of the actions that are taking place and what role each figure is taking on, in a mythical scene, while the stagnant and serene pose of the Fourteen Year Old Girl resonates calmness and a moment that has not taken place just yet.
I lunged at him, my sharp claws going straight to his chest, but the chain armor he wore held strong and I left only white scratches. I pried
I winced in pain. V dropped his sword and hissed. “Dēvuḍu. Mīru balaṅgā sampādin̄cānu (God, you’ve gotten stronger.)” A drop of sweat dripped down my forehead.
"So I was right. Not even my closest "friend" can stand before me now. But then again, why would a monster like me need any friends. None of you care anyway."
Naruto was shocked but Toad God was alway right so he believed him. Thank you, Toad God said Naruto. I must find this Kunoichi.
"It's ok I forgive you. Any guy would kill to be in that position" the knucklehead said with a
The gates to the citadel creaked open. A hooded figure in a black, leather cloak lurked within the shadows. As she walked her footsteps echoed as each cobblestone whispered her name. Kneeling her cracked knees to the newly crowned Queen she lifted her red hood unveiling her face. “I’m looking for my daughter” “The Lady Morganna”.
He just kept shrugging,”*i thought you could handle it, kid. if you would have stopped and listened to me-.”
There are three statues in the room, each of the larger points pointing at one of them. The first one is a statue of a man, Arâr, made of marble with touches and highlights of gold. He’s wearing a robe that exposes only his midriff, and all the delicate folds carved into the rock are topped with gold where it comes to a point, which forms the look of a delicate gold chain encasing him. I step towards him, to see the closer details of his face, and slide my hand against the wall which is so polished it feels like velvet. The face is carved with such intricate details it seems he could take a breath at any moment, and I wouldn’t be surprised.
Instinct took control of my muscles and began to push my limbs downward. Something hard, holding a long and firm edge jabbed my right eye, but the need for out was stronger than the pain it caused. I forced my way through the clumps and stabs of rigid objects, desperate to get free. With each second that went by the instinctive fight dwindled. Consciousness turned to unconsciousness.

Too late! He had heard me. Why had I been so stupid as to scream? I had lost valuable seconds and drawn negative forces to me.
I saw his fist once again heading toward my head. I was taut to never let the enemy away with victory so this time I did the same thing back to him as he has done to me.
