There he was, struggling to get out of the foam pit. I thought this was funny, because at first I did not think that the man had any common sense. Obviously, I could not laugh or show any emotion toward the matter, despite wanting to laugh. I kept my eyes on the foam pit, and finally saw the man have success in getting out. The Creature That Opened My Eyes Sympathy, anger, hate, and empathy, these are just a few of the emotions that came over me while getting to know and trying to understand the creature created by victor frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. It appears as though several days pass as the pool lightens and darkens intermittently. Slowly, the man begins to disappear as we see a standing form moving through the pool’s reflection. Once the suspended man has disappeared completely, another figure joins the one walking the reflection of the pool. They soon disappear as well but the single reflected figure returns to the same point where the man originally jumped in before walking off. Promptly, the man who jumped in resurfaces and climbs out of the pool.
