Jon let out a long needed sigh as he hopped onto the couch in Veronica’s apartment. He still didn’t return her keys, so he just decided to let himself in. He didn’t expect her to be there, since she made it very clear that she wasn’t going to be anywhere that he could normally find her. But, all her stuff was clearly there, so maybe she hadn’t even gone home since the whole thing. He looked to his side and saw a small journal sitting on a table. He knew it would be a huge invasion of privacy if he read it, but maybe it had a clue as to where she would be. He needed to find her fast before she was completely out of his life. He picked it up and started flipping through the pages until he found the last entry. It was dated a month earlier, so he probably wouldn’t have found any valuable information. though he still found himself reading it. I still think of him, honestly. Though this time, I find myself thinking of all the bad times, and there were a lot. But I’m trying my hardest to think of the good times because I don’t want to not love him; he’s done some really good things for me that changed my life. I mean, he was the one that encouraged me to not be ashamed of my profession. To this day, I still hear his voice every time I’m about to go out on stage. I always hear him say, “If anyone has a problem with you removing your clothes for money, then they can suck a dick. You have a very sexy body, and if you want to flaunt it, go ahead. Fuck those stuck up bitches you call your parents, and all the other snooty, primp and proper fuckers who have a problem with you being a stripper.” I miss him so much, and it hurts to know that two years from now, he probably won’t even remember me. Anyway, it’s been exactly three weeks sinc... ... middle of paper ... ...e Cincinnati and be happy,” she said, rising from the couch. “And obviously you don’t since you wouldn’t let me leave.” By that point, she wanted to just walk away and try to forget him, but her feet stayed planted to the ground while she stared straight at him. He sighed before raking his hands through his hair. “Fine. Go ahead. I can’t force you to stay with me, so do whatever the fuck you want,” he said before getting up from the sofa and leaving her apartment, slamming the door behind him. Veronica stared at the door just to see if he would come back. After five minutes had passed, she realize that he was serious, and he probably wasn’t going to come back. Even though she really wanted him to come back, she hoped that he didn’t. If he did, she didn’t think she would be able to resist kissing him. She sighed and went into her room to begin packing her things.
The window was cold to the touch. The glass shimmered as the specks of sunlight danced, and Blake stood, peering out. As God put his head to the window, at once, he felt light shining through his soul. Six years old. Age ceased to define him and time ceased to exist. Silence seeped into every crevice of the room, and slowly, as the awe of the vision engulfed him, he felt the gates slowly open. His thoughts grew fluid, unrestrained, and almost chaotic. An untouched imagination had been liberated, and soon, the world around him transformed into one of magnificence and wonder. His childish naivety cloaked the flaws and turbulence of London, and the imagination became, to Blake, the body of God. The darkness lingering in the corners of London slowly became light. Years passed by, slowly fading into wisps of the past, and the blanket of innocence deteriorated as reality blurred the clarity of childhood.
THE PAST :.. In days gone by, the four species managed to live in perfect harmony. Witches, werewolves and vampires lived in secret, blending in with the humans on a daily basis - and the humans remained completely in the dark about their existence. It was after thousands of years of living this way, whilst everything was completely normal, that a small group of vampires decided that they’d had enough. They spent months devising plans.
“I stepped into the room to remind my daughter of her school homework that was due tomorrow and all of a sudden, seeing her bed empty…it came to such a shock to me and my husband!”, Mrs Burke exclaimed.
...ants to get away from him. She pretends to hang herself and he came to her room and found her. He revealed a plan to bomb the school and everyone in it. Veronica tried to save everyone by confronting JD at the school during a pep rally. She was able to save everyone except JD, who strapped a bomb to himself and blew himself up outside the school.
She did her breathing exercises and got herself as calm as she could when the doors to the maze opened and people began jostling and pushing their way inside. Veronica and Brayden went with the flow and soon found themselves inside the doors.
She didn’t hear the low knock, being dispersed while gazing out the window. The only time she then realized he was there was when he cleared his throat.
“Come down here on the floor with him.” She pats the spot next to her. I shake my head, comfortable where I am on the couch, a safe distance away. “You’re going to have to engage,” she says. “If you want to be able to do this after I leave.”
She hugged and kissed Martin goodbye then proceeded to walk to where her mom was waiting for her. Once home Veronica walked into her room and closed the door behind her, she reflected on what had happened today. Slowly, different explanations popped into her mind. With so many new scenarios playing through her mind, Veronica began to overthink. She was interrupted by her cellphone ringing, it was Travis asking, "what did Martin want?"
Susan froze in her seat, unable to release a single breath. What could she do but go with him? He was a detective, a detective who clearly knew more than he let on.
A thick plume of black smoke and ash hung in the air in a heavy haze, almost completely obscuring the lurid red glow of the waning sun. Below, a cloud of grey plaster dust twisted and writhed amid the sea of debris as intermittent eddies of wind gusted by.
There once was a man named Franswah, and he had a wife named Keisha. They both lived in Keithville, Atlanta. They had a little girl named Jasmine, she was twelve years of age and she attended Ghettoville Jr. High School in the seventh grade. Keisha never did like doing anything, so her husband Franswah decided to go out and have an affair with a lady named Shay. Franswah and Shay worked at a law firm together. Shay was his assistant, she always helped him with things and they always went to lunch together. So some nights he never came home or either he came in late. Keisha was never the type of person to just argue, she mainly just questioned him to see what the response would be and she left it alone until the next morning. So one night when he came in he had a funny odor and Keisha asked him what was up with the smell, he told her that he had been working out and got sweaty. Their daughter Jasmine had very high blood pressure, so most of the time she didn’t go to school because of her condition and she stayed ill. Keisha had a younger sister named Ashley, she is the rowdy type that doesn’t care and will tell anybody anything. Keisha was telling her sister about Franswah coming in late, having a odor on him and don’t want to be questioned. So one day when Ashley was over there and he walked in she confronted him and told him if she find out that’s its that he’s cheating on her she was gone handle it. So he got mad and started hollering at Keisha for telling her sister about what was going on in their relationship. Then that’s when Ashley came back and told him that she can tell her anything she want to tell her because that’s her sister. So few minutes later the phone rings and its was Shay. Keisha answers the phone and it was another lady’s voice, and she asked to speak to Franswah. So she asked her who is calling and she told her that it was Franswah’s baby mother. Everyone is in shock, so Ashley gets on the phone and started getting rowdy. Ashley was asking her different questions like how old is the baby, where she live, and where did Franswah and her meet.
“I’m sorry. Mom told me whenever I get lost to stay put. So I didn’t want to move or you wouldn’t me and I didn’t say anyth---.”
The Creature That Opened My Eyes Sympathy, anger, hate, and empathy, these are just a few of the emotions that came over me while getting to know and trying to understand the creature created by victor frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. For the first time I became completely enthralled in a novel and learned to appreciate literature not only for the great stories they tell but also for the affect it could have on someones life as cliché as that might sound, if that weren’t enough it also gave me a greater appreciation and understanding of the idiom “never judge a book by its cover.” As a pimply faced, insecure, loner, and at most times self absorbed sophomore in high school I was never one to put anytime or focus when it came time
“You love me and i know it, just set yourself free” he paces around the room and finally stop and sits down my single dorm room bed, He looked like a giant compared to the toy bed.
It was late and the house was silent. Tom came home from work late a lot, so the silence was expected. By this time, Marie was in bed and his dinner, the evening newspaper, and the mail were waiting for him on the table. Tom closed the door and walked down the short hall to the kitchen. Everything was set on the table. He quickly looked through the mail and went over to the bin to throw an unwanted advertisement away. Tom noticed a crumpled piece of his wife’s stationary inside. He picked it up and opened it.
