The Cost of Higher Education for Today What does college have to do with a better future and are people willing to spend thousands of dollars on an education that many people call a guarantee to a better life? Well of course you are, college is a key and a gateway to better jobs and lives but then there the cost for a college. First of all, every education comes with a price and everyone know’s it and that’s alright but the cost for a university is out of control. Many middle class citizens struggle to even pay for a community college in their own town,but a university would take them years to pay off and the cost for higher education should drop. Who is blaming them you ask? Well that answer is easy it's Obama and the u.s. government.yes former president Obama blames the colleges for cost way too much money because a bunch of protesters who were blaming private banks and corporates for their money problems and Obama had to try to fix by blaming colleges.Also he forgot to tell the people it was really the US government that was really to blame for most of these problems.let's just say the government isn't the colleges favorite friend to be around in bad times .One of my last reason for this paragraph is the fact the only reason why colleges are blame is because united States government is to lazy to take responsibilities for their own actions and solve their own …show more content…

Another thing about people getting real is that whether they like it or not colleges and banks can only do you so much tell you have to waste money out of your own pocket and provide for families. The fact many students drop out of school or could not continue for a better education couldn't afford to go because no Day was their Biggest problems . Yes indeed because student and private loans only take you so far and unemployment is really high that it becomes tougher These are my three main reason why many people believe that the cost of higher education is over board. Also there funny fact that you decided you future so choose wisely and good luck . Finally last but not least the number one reason it's so high is because schools are wasting so much money on upgrading and stuff that they're using as much as they have

The rise of tuition is mainly due in part because the colleges need more money to upgrade and stay on top of the technology era. There are also many other reasons why tuition is on the rise though. One writer states that, “As almost every state reels from the effects of recession and tax cuts, legislatures slash funding for higher education, the largest discretionary item in most state budgets.” (Reed Jr., p.25). Another writer states, “A need to improve facilities, state budgets that are declining and inflation are all contributing to the rising cost of higher education, and there appears to be no end in sight.” (Gallagher, The Augusta Chronicle). There should be other ways that colleges are able to pay for these advances in technology and inflation besides just hiking up the tuition cost.
