Politics are the heart and sole of the American government. The government itself is set to represent the people and furthermore be a backbone of the people. However rather than being a support system, it is affecting them. People often compare the government to a disease that wracks public life due to ongoing corruption. Corruption is the abuse of entrusted power for private gain. It can be classified as Grand, Petty and political, depending on the nature of the action and the sector where it occurs. It corrodes the fabric of society. It undermines people's trust and political and economic systems, institutions and leaders. According to Transparency International CPI (Corruption Perception Index) statistics in 2009: more than 100 countries have index lower than 5, what means that corruption level there is high.
