Each year, many lives are lost and shortened due to large alcohol consumption. If females drink during pregnancy, the alcohol will travel to the baby and pose risks. Babies born with fetal alcohol syndrome will have birth defects. Putting a ban or limiting alcohol will reduce health risks and other problems. Alcohol not only places effects on the body, but also mental health. Instead of reducing stress and anxiety, alcohol increases it. We go to alcohol as reason to escape from problems and feelings.
