The war in Afghanistan has contributed to the destabilization of its neighbouring countries, such as Pakistan. The spill over due to the war in Afghanistan has resulted in terrorist organisations spreading into Pakistani borders and plotting against the Pakistani government. This led to increased instability in Pakistan, especially the region bordering Afghanistan.
The Iraq war played an important role in the destabilization of neighbouring countries. The destabilization of Iraq itself, led to the emergence of violent terrorist groups that sought to take actions against regimes in the region that were thought to have helped aid the United States and Western countries in taking part in the Invasion of Iraq and the War on Terrorism.
