Arby Lyra, a name given to me by my mother which is a combination of my parents’ nicknames and my two grandmothers’ names; Ar from Arman, By from baby, Ly from Lydia and Ra from Isidra. I am very much blessed to be named Arby Lyra for everytime that I will hear my name, these four important people pops out my mind and gives me a sense of gratification. I am the first child my parents, Lorna and Herman Bautista, received. On the 22nd of September in the year 1993, my mother gave birth to me at exactly 4:30 in the morning at Sampaloc, Manila. They called me their “Little Angel”. I am also the first grandchild my maternal grandparents had, and during that time, I am the youngest grandchild of my paternal grandparents. I was really really special. During my pre-school years, I am excellent in academics. I graduated as First Honors during kinder. It may be unbelievable, but eventhough I am the top student during that year, I am extremely shy. My mother even said that before our Christmas program, my teachers approached her because I haven’t joined any presentations at all. My lack of self-confidence continued until gradeschool. In the year 1998, we transferred to Lumban, Laguna. Of course, I needed to transfer to a new school where in I only have a few friends. I continued to be an outstanding student despite of being a transferee. I am a consistent gold medalist during elementary. One event which vastly changed my attitude was when I joined the Mr. And Ms. ICCS on my 3rd grade. I didn’t win but my teachers saw my potentials, especially my MAPEH teacher. During that contest, I danced ballet on the talent portion. After that, I was always asked to give a number especially on doxologies. With that, my self-confidence grew. I am alway... ... middle of paper ... ... Hopefully, I am about to graduate this semester. After graduation, I would like to work at a well-known software company as a web/mobile developer in order to provide for my own needs and for my younger siblings’ education. I am also planning on taking up a second degree in veterinary medicine because of my love for animals. I want to build an animal shelter in the future to provide a home for neglected animals and allow other people to adopt them as part of their family. Regarding the title of this autobiography, Continuous Revision: I can compare my life to a book where in there are different chapters and different editions. As time passes by, I am continuously revised and the errors are gradually eliminated. The people I encounter are the editors, and I can consider myself as the writer. I write my own story and I am responsible for everything that I will write.
...self working in a healthcare facility (hopefully a doctor’s office). In five years I plan to start working on my Bachelor of Science in Health Science Degree. In five years I would’ve gotten the experience and knowledge I need to move forward in the facility.
First off, I want to graduate from college and do it well. I want to be able to do things on the weekends and not worry about having to make things up or anything like that. I am hoping for a scholarship in football, in my opinion that would be a great start for me in college. Then after college maybe pursue that as a career. If that doesn't work out for me then I want to look into athletic training or physical therapy. If those things don't interest me or I don't get into it I am then looking into law. That will take much more time and patience, but it's gonna be the rest of my life.
I was born on the 31st of December 1981 in a traditional household in Manila, Philippines. My mom and dad, now both senior citizens, live comfortably back home with their grandson. In gratitude, my younger sister, my brother and me try to return the favor to them for all their hard work and sacrifices in molding us to be what we are now.
These goals won’t be complete for another four to five years. Becoming a Vet assistant is my biggest long term goal. I have been thinking about becoming a vet assistant or even a full blown large animal vet for about two years now. Along with that I would love to stay in school, go to college and earn as much knowledge as I can. With becoming a vet, I would love to buy an apartment for either my significant other or one of my friends. That way when I’m going to school, I can also save money for a house that I would buy. My goal is to make as much money as I can and spend it on myself and my family. Family is very important to me, so I would keep in mind that I have a loving family behind me and because they helped me and they still would keep helping me, I would repay
In ten years I see myself still in college working to become a veterinarian. I do not know what college I would hope to be at ,but that I am out of regular college and just starting veterinarian school. I won’t have a career just yet ,but possibly a side job of a waitress and volunteering at the humane society once a week. My goal is very important to me because I love helping animals and I to try my best doing so. My dog means the world to me and I would want the best work done on her if something bad happened to her. The satisfaction of my career would be to care for the animals in need and successfully helping the animals. School now can help reach my long term goal because math and science plays a big part in becoming a veterinarian I also
It was the fourth year of my school carrier. In other words, the year of truth if I would make the cut to the higher education track. I was nervous because I knew that I would be capable of going this route, but I the feeling of concern was stronger because I haven’t had performed very well in my fourth year so far. At the end of the school year, I received the shocking news that I didn’t make the cut to go to the school which would have had allowed me to go to University later on in my life. I was sad, disappoint in myself, and lost self-esteem in my educational abilities. At this time, I was more embarrassed then able to realize the real benefit of a system which early on tracks children’s
I have a plan to attend college once I graduate high school. I have not yet achieved that goal, but I hope to. I want to attend a two year school and study to be a Vet Technician. Hopefully once I do graduate college, I’ll finally be able to work with animals, My dream career. I’m unsure if I want to keep it simple and work in a shelter, or if I want to save lives and become a vet, or perhaps work as a zookeeper. Growing up. I used to always dream about opening my own “Pet Hotel”, maybe someday I could do that. Honestly, I don’t care much about what I do, as long as I’m happy doing it.
During my education at college, I hope to broaden my surroundings through study abroad. When I come back from a country, I will educate others on the cultures and experiences there. With my education, I hope to join in a program like Doctors Without Borders or the Volunteer Optometric Services for Humanity (VOSH). I will be able to improve the eyesight of people around the world and educate others from my experiences in that program.

“Decisions and Revisions: The Planning Strategies of a Publishing Writer” by Carol Berkenkotter presents an account of conducted research on the writing methods of professional, published writer Donald M. Murray. Berkenkotter conducts an experiment to understand how writers use certain writing methods, specifically revision of their work, by paying close attention to the setting in which the writer works, the kinds of tasks the writer is faced with, and what the writer can say about his or her own writing process. Contrary to previous experiments, she focuses solely on professional writer Donald M. Murray and allows him to work in a natural, as opposed to lavatory, setting. Murray is allowed an unlimited amount of time to write, spanning within
I want to be a nurse, specifically a nurse practitioner. I have always been fascinated with the medical field and see a bright future in it for me. I have the opportunity of meeting new people every day with a variety of personalities. There is always something new to discover in this field. A nurse practitioner's job is to be able to diagnose and treat illnesses. They also prescribe medicine and run physical exams. I am highly interested in pursuing the career of a nurse practitioner because the healthcare field is always in need for medical professionals, it pays well, and I am helping people at the same time.
One of the most difficult questions to be asked is, “What do you plan to do after you graduate?” Everyone wants to know where you’re going to go to college, what you’re majoring in and the type of career you plan to pursue. This fall, I began my journey as a student here at the University of Kentucky. Attending college here was always apart of my plan. However, for a long time I contemplated what career I should seek. On and off I wondered about different areas in the medical field, because I enjoy both math and science. I also know I wanted to help people, especially children.
I am determined to become a veterinarian. I want to be a food safety and inspection veterinarian. By being this type of veterinarian, i will help make animals lives different. I will make sure that every animal is safe at all times. After seeing all the abandoned animals, i have decided to make a change and help supply them. I want all animals in the future to have a good life no matter what condition they are in. I will always make sure that animals are well and succeeding in the future.
After graduation, I planned to relocate back to St. Louis, MO. Also, I planned to further my education, by getting my Master’s Degree at the University of Missouri St. Louis. After receiving my degree, I want to find a career in Child Welfare. In conclusion, I want to live happily ever after with a husband, a few kids, and an amazing career.
