Recommended: Disaster recovery plan research paper

The topic that I have chose from the New Era of Management, Richard L. Daft Tenth Edition is contingency planning. My main idea for the contingency planning is it is very vital for either company or other condition to solve the problem when an emergency is happened and minimize the consequences of the problem. Contingency planning can be also a supporting plan that deals with on specific type of emergency to achieve the goal. The first article I have chose which is related to the contingency plan is “Oil Spill Response Information System and Contingency Planning for Guinean Waters”, page 673-700 which says the Guinea government decided to draw up a plan and organisation to develop Guinean Marine oil spill Response Information System by stimulated an oil spill concentration transport. The results show that the numerical model in oil spill accident simulation is important in allowing setting up of possible response and contingency planning. This has the similarity to the contingency planning definition that the Guinea government take response to the problem of water pollution which cause by the oil spill from the marine. The response and contingency planning of the Guinea government is providing a safe, prompt and efficient response lies in the expertise of people to solve problems and understanding the issues surrounding oil spills and the preparations of equipment. Centre for the Protection of the Marine Environment (CNPMM) has prepared an outline national oil spill contingency plan by coordinate all clean-up activities. The area of Guinea is largely dominated by low-lying swamps and mangroves, both are difficult shoreline types on which to mount a clean-up operation. As a final conclusion, contingency planning is vital to the success of a project carried out regardless of whether marine or land-related projects. In addition,contingency planning is also important to launch the course of a project and avoid from getting any problems on the way to finish the project.
