In the tragic play of Romeo and Juliet Shakespeare shows us the true consequences of forbidden love and what it is like to love someone in a way where love cannot be expressed and the feelings are so indescribable. Love this powerful actually changes the lives and fate of two young innocent people who lost themselves in each other and couldn’t do what they wanted because of who they were. When it comes to defining love there is no true definition of love. When it comes to fate there is no true definition either; fate is out of our control, and is determined by the super natural. And loss, loss affects everyone, it affects people in different ways however it’s always there and sometimes comes when we least expect it to. He is suggesting that there is a higher power keeping them apart. Shakespeare has these two characters, Romeo and Juliet, stuck in a situation that they have not created but they were forced into because of their family’s history that is so old that the families have no idea why they are even fighting at this point. Romeo and Juliet defy this family’s feud of years and they fall in love and they fight for to their death for the love of each ...

...fate. They also fail to realize that they cannot “defy the stars” (Romeo) nor the fact that they are genetically tied to their family name. The love, loss and fate in the story of Romeo and Juliet is so powerful it is understood on a worldly level and it seen to be one of the most passionate love stories of all time and has impacted people in ways one never thought they could be impacted on. As the lesson is learned that old grudges should never be held because you don’t know what it may impact in the future, a lesson on love and its power should also be learned because no matter what there is no stopping love and its natural fate. Just let it be and let it takes it course, if it was meant to be it will be but if it tampered with or forbidden like the two lovers in the story things may happen that were not intended and there may not always be a happily ever after.
