When conducting research on something, how does one communicate their findings? One way that person can report these details is by writing an essay. There are several different types of essays, but one in particular is a research paper. This is a formal way of organizing and reporting the information gained from the research that was done. Research papers are helpful because they can be organized to clearly document and share the information that is gained.This essay will share my experience with writing essays, views on what research is, and what I believe a research paper is.

Each student is a product of the papers that they have previously written. My experience of writing papers is very limited. I wrote a few essays in high school, but I have written the majority of them in college. I have written argumentative, cause and effect, and entertainment essays. Also, I have written two research papers, one in high school and the other in college. Because of the limited writing that I did in high school, English 101 was a challenging course. In my own words, research simply means to obtain as much knowledge about a particular subject as possible. Conducting research is just the process one goes through to obtain the desired knowledge. This can be as simple as figuring out which toys are the safest for children or as difficult as trying to find a cure for diseases. My experience with conducting research includes a paper from high school about the effect education has on wages earned and quality of life. Another example of research that I have done is the research paper I wrote in English 101 about corporal punishment. I remember both papers being fairly challenging because of my lack of experience with conducting research and writing research
