Statement of Purpose
Several projects during undergraduate study in electronic and communication made me realize the potential of computer science because I used algorithms and programming languages like Mat lab, C++ for solving the problems. The ever-increasing application of computer science fascinated me very much. So, I joined Texas State University for graduate studies with major computer science. I have made strong foundation in Electronic and communication engineering during my undergraduate study. Now, I believe that the study of computer science will nourish my acquired knowledge and provide expertise in problem solving and programming skills.
When I was in higher secondary school, physics was one of the most mesmerizing subject to me. I had excitement to go deeper into my subject of interest that motivated me for setting goals to become a successful engineer. I had keen interest for learning new ideas and inner desire to reach a degree of excellence.

I got opportunity to boost my confidence, show creativity in the field of electronic engineering. I had made firm foundation in subjects like microprocessor, computer networks, digital logic, C, and C++ programming language. As my propensity towards embedded system designing, electronic devices and control system, I started to design my own system doing minor project: “PC based Telephone Billing System” and major project: “Automatic Telephone Monitoring System”. I had self-motivation to learn programming skills for doing projects which helped me to enhance my coding skills and encourage to involve in creating innovative
I am fascinated by technology and especially with computer from my childhood days I got my first PC Compaq-Presario Pentium-3 when I was in my 4th grade which gave a new direction to my life. I always have a habit of ripping things apart to understand how it works and what makes it work I did the same with my new PC on the second day and discovered many important things about it and in few months I figured out how all components in computer works. As I progressed, I discovered software is more fascinating and complex and have limitless applications in every field we can build a software to virtually do anything. I started to learn C, HTML so I can develop applications, I still remember my first program in C on addition of two numbers and my first developed application Scientific calculator as I progressed it became my passion and I have decided to pursue career in Computers.
Right from my early childhood, I developed the curiosity to learn new topics. Watching closely to my father's work in the field of electronics and computer played a crucial role as my mind molded towards this technical studies. The programming courses like QBASIC, Visual Basic 5 introduced during my school days helped me understand how computers can be programmed and useful in real life. These courses intensified my interests towards logics and mathematics.
As the undergraduate major in Computer Science combines a solid core of Computer Science courses with the ability to gain substantial depth in other areas via a required minor in a second subject such as Human Computer or Robotics and offers unparalleled flexibility, I am certain that there will be no hindrance between me and my goal. Through the Mathematics and Probability Component of the university, I will have the tools to remain current as technologies and systems change, but at the same time gain insight into the practical issues of building and maintaining systems by participating in intensive project-oriented courses. I will certainly benefit from the world-renowned faculty members, with the low student-faculty ratio of just thirteen to one, who keep their office doors open to encourage informal meetings with students. Associating with professors, who are hands-on educators in the classroom and work directly with students in the lab, will acquaint me with the opportunities and rewards available to practicing computer scientists. I can participate in cutting-edge research projects even as an undergraduate and gain valuable experience through unique out of classroom opportunities such as part-time or summer jobs in addition to the various hands-on programs in the university to enhance my skills in the
My interest physics began in high school when my sister loaned me a book called “Space and Time in Special Relativity,” which, even though the book was introducing a difficult topic, required only algebra as a prerequisite. The book captured my attention and led me to dedicate many hours of study outside of school to trying to understand and visualize the thought experiments presented in the book. Although I cannot say that I managed to fully understand the concepts at the time, the ideas it introduced me to completely changed my worldview and perception of myself. Instead of the understanding of the material coming easily and naturally as it had in school, I had to invest considerable time and thought into success. I no longer viewed myself as a smart kid in a small town, but as someone who knew next to nothing.
My decision to pursue master’s program at University of Texas Dallas is driven by my aspiration to have greater knowledge about the field of computer science and an active research environment present there. A graduate degree will help strengthen my knowledge base and also further my career prospects.
A fascination for Science & Technology and keen interest in the ever-growing world of technology motivated me to take up engineering. The power of research and delivering it for the growth of Society is what makes me interested in the technology side of science. I choose to major Computer science Engineering with an intense urge to delve into this challenging field. During my under graduation program I learned the various fundamentals of Computer science Engineering which together with practical course works reinforced my interest.
My ultimate goal in my career is to make a commendable contribution to the computing world either by starting an innovative venture or doing research which would change the dimensions of future computing and the way we perceive the computers. Now I have determined that a dedicated higher study on Computer Science will enable me to aggregate all my previous knowledge & experience on the field and encourage in achieving my career goal. I am looking at Graduate studies to provide me with the required expertise to carry out higher studies.

I took up Computer Science and Engineering as my discipline in Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, one of the premier institutes in India. My undergraduate education has been a great learning and enriching process for me. It exposed me to all the core areas of Computer Science like operating systems, database management systems, networks and network security, data structures, algorithms and software engineering. These courses have given me a good foundation in the core concepts. My interest lies in Database Management, Programming Languages, Theory of Computation, and Software Engineering. I am fully acquainted with the fast growing subjects like Object Oriented Programming, Analysis and Design. On the other hand, the intensive laboratory classes exposed me to a fascinating world of experimentation. It was here that I discovered the qualities of perseverance and diligence in myself. I feel that these courses have done a lot to prepare me for my future studies and research work.
Computer engineering is a very stressful job for those people who want it. Anyone who’s interested can see the benefits and positive things about computer engineering out weigh the bad. The education, duties, benefits, job outlook, and responsibility are all included in this report. I hope I have in some way persuaded you to look more into computer engineering. Now is the perfect time to get in the field of computers, demand is high, and so is payment. Computer engineering is the perfect place for those people who thrive on challenges.
At the dawn of the information age, to be young, as Wordsworth said in another context, is very heaven. Getting to know what goes inside computers, the engines of the Information Technology revolution, and knowing how to work with them enables one to understand the technology that makes it all possible. Understanding this, I chose to do my undergraduate study in Electronics and Communications engineering.
During my school and college, I was very sharp in analytical problem solving and this quality made physics and mathematics one of my favorite subjects. I was very keen on performing the physics practical. My inclination towards physics and mathematics compelled to choose electrical engineering for my Bachelors degree.
Right from my school days, I have always shown a high degree of competence and interest in subjects like Mathematics and Science. I scored 88 marks in Mathematics & 84 marks in Science in Secondary School (10th standard). It was with this motivation that I took up the Science stream in my senior school. I completed my senior school with first class grade. My fairly good performance at secondary and senior school gave me the confidence to take Engineering as my career.
