The Willis Tower was the tallest building for 25 years! That is the second longest record holding for tallest skyscraper, after the Empire State Building 45 years as tallest skyscraper in Manhattan. When the Petronas Towers were built in Malaysia, it surpassed the Willis Tower. In 1994, Sears, Roebuck & Co. sold their building, the Willis Tower, to AEW Capital Management (Sears Tower, 2012). Then, they sold it to TrizecHahn in 1997 (Sears Tower).
And a lot of shoppers enjoy doing so with others, viewing the in-store shopping experience as a social engagement. Further, consumers often look to in-store experts – otherwise known as store associates – to provide product detail, answer their questions, and overall provide the personal touch that the online experience cannot. All of these factors expose the inherent limitations of purchasing products from an ecommerce website. Retailers would be wise to take notice of these limitations and take advantage of the obvious importance of the in-store shopping experience. The increased popularity of alternative fulfilment methods like ship-from-store and in-store pickup is the silver lining for brick-and-mortar businesses.

Mies designed many buildings during his life however none of the would be as popular and famous as the Seagram Building. In real estate and architecture, some dreams need a lot of staying power to get realized. The Seagram Building is the realization, some three decades late, of Mies van der Rohe's dream of a glass-covered, high-rise office tower that would provide a stunning monument to the International Style's faith in simplicity and clarity. The Seagram building is the prime example of Mies' masterful use of steel. The bronze sheathed skyscraper soars thirty-eight stories high from its 90-foot deep pink granite plaza.

One of the biggest threats to freedom in our world today is the ever-looming possibility that someone will realize the true power of popcorn and bring world leaders to their knees. However, if placed in the hands of a terrorist organization, the true power of popcorn could be unleashed to wreak havoc on innocent men, women and children. Millions of people each year have the luxury of eating popcorn freely. Each night in this country alone, thousands of people flock to movie theaters to enjoy a large tub of popcorn while watching a new movie.

In the cinema, we often pay good money to see violence displayed in vivid detail and colors in front us and to hear the eardrum-rattling echoes of destruction around us in surround-sound quality. On the other hand, when we go to the movies to watch superheroes battle supervillains, we go it with the understanding that we, in fact, are quiet safe because we seek an escape from our everyday lives and into, oftentimes, a fictional universe. Unfortunately, that safe divide between the fictional universe on the silver screen and the real word was shattered shortly after midnight on July 20th, 2012 in Aurora, Colorado, the aftermath of shock and horror would not be soon forgotten. The Dark Knight Rises, the third movie in the trilogy of the newest series of Batman movies was one of the most highly anticipated movies in years, especially that summer, and so there was a tremendous excitement at the packed midnight premiere showing of the movie at a multiplex in the city near Denver, Colorado. About a half hour into the movie, James Holmes, a 24-year-old man in the front row, left the theatre through a side exit door—which he popped open, went to his car and changed into protective clothing, retrieved numerous firearms, and returned to the theatre, killing 12 and wounding 70 (58 from gunfire, 4 from tear gas, 8 from fleeing accidents) others.... ... middle of paper ... ... scientists and social psychologists argue that females can be quite aggressive even though female aggression is rarely expressed physically.
The fake trailers displayed in the movie poke fun of some movies we have seen in recent years come out and the times we wish were not sitting in a movie theatre watching their trailers. One example is when Stuart Cornfield introduces the movie called, “Scorcher 6,” which seems to be one of the many, overdone sequels. Further analyzing the satirical humor, this is the first example of contextual humor because you may not find this funny if you have never been to a movie theatre or lived in the United States. We know of many movies that should have never continued such as, Mission Impossible, Rocky, and some others. “Scorcher 6” definitely seems like a new Tom Cruise movie where he comes in and saves the world, against all odds, and becomes a hero.
As the competition increased, so did the speed and danger. One Asian American who had a vision to race safely also wanted to race at the local drag strip. Unfortunately the track was only reserved for V8's, Mustangs, or Cameros. Frank Choi set out to form an imports only drag race where the track turned away all the muscle cars. His vision became what is now called the Battle of the Imports, one of the most popular drag series and the first of which was started in 1990.
