Although that may be true, social media can help spread real news and that can help impact the economy. A report by the article Officials Urged to Take Care With Social Media wrote that the Dallas Police Department sent out a tweet saying that the Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was arrested for public intoxication. It turned out to be his brother that was arrested, not him. This incident shows that many mistakes like this one can be made on social media. This can cause embarrassment and many other things. All that social media does when it comes to these kinds of things is make you believe things that are not true.
