Comparison and contrast essay between public schools and success charter schools
Education is a way of learning hence gaining knowledge and skills. This knowledge is passed on from one generation to the next and with it, one is able to tackle life’s challenges. In order for it to pass from generations to generations, schools were created and children would attend them so as to be taught. With time schools have advanced into public and charters so as to improve the quality of education. Parents are faced with the mandate of deciding what type of system suits their kids well. There are various comparisons and contrasts between these schools.
Charter schools basically receive public funding but operate independently. They are governed by a group under a legislative charter within a state. According to Gabriel Isla “they operate independently from the traditional public systems” (April 27, 2012). Those who are involved in opening the schools, create a charter plan that would help guide and improve performance measures. Then once a state approves the charter, it starts to fund it according to the basis of per pupil. Before admission parents do a proper research on where to take their children.
Pros and cons of a certain system are therefore crucial in helping them make sensible decisions. Charter schools have a few benefits, their students fare much better than those in public schools. Additionally, they have greater freedom to direct resources towards specific needs of the students. According to Carolyn Thompson, “these schools benefit students who come from families that are not so well off financially” (June 25, 2013).

...education and do not discriminate in any way. Secondly, they all receive funding from the government. Lastly they strive to please the community for reputational purposes.
In conclusion it is always up to the parents when it comes to deciding what type of school they desire their children attend. When they make judgments they have to look at all the pros and cons of these schools. Finally, they have to look at their financial capability and go for what suits them and their children best.
