Apple and Microsoft are the two major super powers of the computing industry, from the creation of operating systems, stylish designs of devices, to the re-invention of the computer. Each company has their own ideas of the perfect computing device, and much of the consumer base for each company can agree or disagree with either company’s opinion. Coming from a Best Buy employee and always providing the best possible advice to consumers, the common argument is which company and devices created are better. For the past on going 40 years Microsoft and Apple have been rivals; Apple has always boasts its computer superiority, but when it comes to beginner gaming up to professional gaming, or just gaming in general, Microsoft supported devices have been elite and far more superior. A multitude of game developers release games for both Apple devices and Microsoft supported devices, but most of the developers prioritize the releasing of games and updates first to Microsoft supported devices. In some instances, consumers of Apple devices have to wait months or years before a game will ever be released or even supported. Which brings up the fact that support is a major issue with Apple, upgrades and technological advances are extremely slow with Apple and tremendously fast with Microsoft. Apple tends to release there Macintosh computers with minor advances such as a touchless display with 5k resolution, a pressure sensitive track pad, with meager processors that are not current generation. While Microsoft produces devices with 4k touch-screen displays, 2-in-1 capability that transform laptop into tablets, also give the consumer the latest 7th generation processor. Apple must forecast and continue to re-define its effectiveness and its efficiency toward its products. Apple will re-examine their products as time continues to move and make sure they follow through with the social changes that come about. This will help with this process and it will make sure that the customer’s that lie ahead will be stealing to purchase Apple products. The local Charter school decided to allow students to purchase MAC book a few years ago when just coming on the market. I had a compact computer that I’ve had for years but when comparing and seeing all the advantages that the MAC had to offer I preferred to use the Mac computer instead.
